Kentron one of my mates in my rugby team got his holden ss ute stolen a few weeks back from training. We were 50 metres or so from the car park. If you do get one make sure you get a good alarm plus fit a cut out switch.

my pops has an ss, and a fulla he knows has got the v6. they compared notes and found the v6 has worse economy. prob cos its gotta work a lot harder than the 8. but theyre both economic drivers, drive around with your foot to the boards the whole time the 8 will drink way more.

Old clubsports were pretty damn slow, I remember when they brought out the 195kw version and people thought that was good, they are now 297kw which is not too shabby for a heavy car, the new GTS-R race car version comes with a forged motor and 335kw around 450BHP but its in full race trim and not for road use, if I had the cash id still go with the R8 and all the trimmings then fit a smallish supercharger and be done with it, would make a nice tow car Laughing

My sister is rich so she'll just buy the best one with the best ad on's and leave it like that, bro-in- law is getting the maloo R8 and sister is getting the New GTO with the bonnet scoops and the best suspension and brakes package. Both get the 297kw motor.

Completly agree it can most likely be done more cheaply buying the bits separate but when ya got the cash...

That is dead right!

Warranty and Insurance, It's like if your car came from Japan with factory 5% Tints which would be illegal here if you put them on yourself its fine because they were a factory item

There was a magzine put out recently by either wheels or similar which was all to do with powering up cars. Apparently for $2,000 they got a holden doing a quarter mile a second quicker. Was due to engine and gear box sensors which cause loss in power during take off and under hard acceleration. There was an outfit for fords as well but the holden suspoedly did a 12.96 or so quarter mile after the cheap mods.

Id believe that, thers lots you can do with standard cars if you know where to go

With the Audi RS6 you pull out the ECU, send it to aussie, pay some cash and they send it back with an instant 60kw gain!
