The various names of Phoenix bar on Dixon St

So I saw a little while back that Phoenix is now called The Garden club. I was trying to go through in my head all of the names that that club has had. Can anyone help?

I thought Phoenix (not sure what comes before, if you know that would be cool), Stage, and somewhere in between a name starting with I think. Does anyone know the proper order of names?

Wasn't Stage a rather ironic name, since they levelled the main floor technically removing the "stage"

Nah you were right, they flattened the floor out when it changed to Stage, looks like the whole floor is flat now with the raised area by the bar gone.

It looked to me like it was getting a total - and I mean TOTAL revamp when I had a look through a month or so ago. We're holding the Wellington date of the 2008 NZ Fetish Ball there in November (Sat 8th). After looking around Welli for an ideal venue, Garden Club came up trumps. The Civic is ideal for the Chch event as it holds 1000 ppl. You have to remember that we need ceiling height for ariel acts, a stage for performances, and an ideal capacity of somewhere between 600 and 900. Is there another venue in Wgtn with these attributes??
