Fuck yes. 100%.
Massive respect to DJs who scratch, I'm a total junkie and find it can totally enhance the music - taking that track you know and love and knocking it up a notch.
Done well, some DJs can totally define the track by the scratch - although I'm not really experienced, DJ Marky in DnB can do this, and it was amazing. Andy Vann from AK can do it in house - and I love it.
I guess it also depends whether you're talking about scratch records, or using samples and scratching them in...?
DJ Craze should be massive though! I'm a total scratch addict now, ever since Marky in January.
I'm not sure if its true, but a lot of DJs who scratch claim their roots are in hip hop - how accurate is that?
