You guys should check out the tinrib site if you haven't already.. its well wicked. Gets my award for #1 dance label website.

All the Tinribs of late personally have sounded the same. The only that was going against the grain waws Weirdo yet all his releases seem to be much the same too. RIB053 came out on Monday.

I think Tinrib are losing it. I agree with nick when he says Weirdo is about the only fresh sound coming out of the stable.

Altime favourite has to be Tinrib 18 (the Leader/Snap) followed very closely by Tinrib 25 (P{Photic Zone/Gotta keep on)

Heh, I put my money on #37 - Weirdo - Got2bfunky.

Classic track.

Yeah, thats pretty cool to, dave. The only problem i have with tinrib is that the majority of vinyl i buy from them is weirdo tracks, and they all mix in like a dream together (due to them having the same sound, i suspect). Unfortunately, im not sure of what punters would think of 3-4-5 weirdos in a row (or would they even know?).

Hey, do djs still drop plenty of old Tinribs? I play them out at house parties and get a great response (still drop the leader!), but to be honest i havent been to a HH club in awhile (the joy of not living in a major city),and am curious.

You don't hear Tinribs a heck of alot.. depends where you go I guess. Personally I don't know if everyone could palate 3-4-5 in a row.. I could though Smile Occasionally you'll hear older ones dropped in a set. More often than not their Weirdo trax.

Most of my friends have at least one they play regulary...

RE: Signum and the orig. I can't recall the name.. but I god damn KNOW the song. The sample in the old version was "Do you believe in love",.. I'm just wondering if thats the track name? "Believe in love"?? Goddamn it!! Nick?

Its funny, isnt it? I could mix up tinribs all night (and to me they are the pinicle of pumping sounds) yet it is obviously an aquired taste. I find alot of my tinribs end up toward the end of a mix, getting into the 150bpm stratosphere!
[quote]
not an old Ultra-Sonic - Do You Believe In Love tune> no Tinrib mix though.

i got through the 2 latest tinribs today. One with karim & Steve Thomas. Once again much of the same old.

Tinrib is played alot more down south i would say...chch dj's tend to pull out a few ribs!! but not of late, say 2-3 months. defender does a 3 hour tinrib set at hybrid every year or so, fucking good night and does very well not to let the set get boring a stale!!! go the captain!!

sorry about that lead to a bit of confusion.
what i was trying to say is that although mexicali is cool it isnt as good as the older ones. eg dont stop and photic zone.
i read a review for the track in a magazine and they said that the TINRIBIZER is not been used as much (ie the filtering).Nick is right the last few have been very similar. But they still follow tinribs defintion of hard NRG.
ill type that up sometime, its also in the fish tales 2 sleeve

who is on 53?
