I think the beats are pretty cool but the lyrics are same old Eminem. Whaddaya reckon?

I have heard this track and well the beats might be cool but its hard to tell with the worlds most famous wigga crappin' on over the top of them.

His first song was funny the first few times i heard it, but now i cant stand him.

Eiminem is an artist he does not need logic, ever heard of marcel duchamps "Fountain" ? not alot of logic but one very prominent piece of art that changed the way an artist and a peice of atr is viewed. not saying Eiminem is the next Marcel Duchamp [1960's minamalists have already taken that place] but he does have some sort of artistic liscense to say what he likes.

techno has had a pretty big influence on hiphop of late!
yeah bn1 ernst is pretty freakin dope!
dada was a wicked principle but the art itself kinda left a bit lacking.
personally i'm a Mondrian fan(gotta love someone who tried to paint jazz),but kadinsky was pretty cool too.i was an art history major at uni till i dropped out!(prehaps one day i'll finish my degree.)

Yeah I think also because it was based around the experience of the first world war the movement was fairly limited after that, but it moved onto surrealism which produced some wicked stuff.

Yeah but after Surrelaism there was the minamalists etc of the 1960's whose work was based around other wars eg. Vietnam etc. but yeah all in all I have to say one of my toatally fav artists was Dali cos he did some wack stuff. and Eiminem does some real odd shit with the same dada values for example a prominent dada Idealism was to base works around: Irony, Cyniscysism and Anarchial nihilism. now top marks to Eiminem 4 his video because it has all those things, gotta love Osama dancin with D12.

I'm not even into hip hop heaps and I find it offensive to class Eminem as a hip hop artist!

So tell me, is there a tangible difference between crude 'rappin'' and hip hop? Maybe Enimem is a sub or side genre of hip hop?

voiceinsideyou - eminem is hiphop =) gotta rate him, his lyrics are hella funny but he lacks the substance to withstand the test of time.

I won't be reflecting on his tracks in a ooooh ahhh manner as I do with De La Soul, ATCQ or Pharcyde tracks. More like 'shiiiet, we classified that stuff as being good?'...
