http://playlist.yahoo.com/makeplaylist.dll?SID=2933234s=42686779
Sorry for the long link.

I think the beats are pretty cool but the lyrics are same old Eminem. Whaddaya reckon?
[quote]
I have heard this track and well the beats might be cool but its hard to tell with the worlds most famous wigga crappin' on over the top of them.

His first song was funny the first few times i heard it, but now i cant stand him.

Oh yeah, thanks for launching Didos career dickhead!?! *cringe and shudder*
[quote]
I hate it!!!! Eminem was good 'once upon a time'.

It gets HUGE airplay over here and i'm sick of it.
[quote]
Yeah I remember that acornm, back on soundbombing with 'any man'... 'any man who would jump in front of a mini van for 20 grand...'
[quote]
Rank track, imo. Beats = good (as said above). Eminem = *shudder*.

And was for the Dido sentiment - fucking werd to that. Jesus, I can't believe it that she now earns money from the industry.
[quote]
Dont like it.
I never did like "Look at me, I'm controversial" type rappers.
[quote]
i don't like it. it will be popular though no doubt once they start playing it on mai fm.

[quote]
sounds like he hooked up with pink or sum shit
[quote]
Are you disrespecting him cause he is white...
[quote]
Dido- she has connections thru her brother anyway. At least she doesnt think she is black hehe Smile
[quote]
Dildo has got the worst voice, im sorry. but her ting with emimen was her best ting.
[quote]
I like dido, she just gets a bit depressing sometimes.
[quote]
Eminem shouldn't be mentioned in this section as he is POP music not hip hop

Nah - i am sick of his shit as well
[quote]
Oh come on hes done some good stuff

'Bitch Please 2' w/snoop, nate and xzibit,, that is a good track.
[quote]
Nice video.
[quote]
Funny song, and if we are all sitting here disscussing him then obviously the "Messages" [i say that loosely] are workin. not the best in hip hop but who am I to judge, he has done alot better then me.
[quote]
Agree with you Bn1 ... love that track .

I saw the making for the video of M2 the other night .... funny stuff.
[quote]
But hold on.... if we are all discussing him that surely must mean hes disgusting?! I don't quite get his logic. Plus he disses techno which is not cool at all.
[quote]
Eiminem is an artist he does not need logic, ever heard of marcel duchamps "Fountain" ? not alot of logic but one very prominent piece of art that changed the way an artist and a peice of atr is viewed. not saying Eiminem is the next Marcel Duchamp [1960's minamalists have already taken that place] but he does have some sort of artistic liscense to say what he likes.
[quote]
Well sure he can say what he likes but I don't have to agree with it..
Hes from detroit, surely hes heard some good techno in his time.

Anyhow, Duchamp = Badass Smile I prefer Max Ernst stuff to actually look at but some of Duchamps ideas were wicked..

Woah, hiphop and dadaist art, who says biggie ain't cultured?
[quote]
Well yeah of course you don't have to agree with it Bn1 but what are you talking about Techno for anyway? excuse me if I am wrong but Eiminen is a Hip hop artist, thats his life. Why are you asking if he has heard techno? I mean of course he has but what does it have to do with his lyrics? -Please explain.
[quote]
techno has had a pretty big influence on hiphop of late!
yeah bn1 ernst is pretty freakin dope!
dada was a wicked principle but the art itself kinda left a bit lacking.
personally i'm a Mondrian fan(gotta love someone who tried to paint jazz),but kadinsky was pretty cool too.i was an art history major at uni till i dropped out!(prehaps one day i'll finish my degree.)
[quote]
Malika: on account of the line in the track there where he says 'don't listen to techno' and also cause hes been slaggin it in interviews.. sorry I should have made that clearer Smile

Yeah I think also because it was based around the experience of the first world war the movement was fairly limited after that, but it moved onto surrealism which produced some wicked stuff.

[quote]
Dada that is..

And how bout the Magritte reference in the TTC album title called 'Ceci N'est Pas Un Disque' or 'This Is Not A Record'. Will Ashon (Big Dada head dude) or someone else there must have studied some art in their time Smile
[quote]
Its not as good as his first ones, but still funny tho...

Bring out Vanilla Ice any day... hehehe... Razz
[quote]
Yeah but after Surrelaism there was the minamalists etc of the 1960's whose work was based around other wars eg. Vietnam etc. but yeah all in all I have to say one of my toatally fav artists was Dali cos he did some wack stuff. and Eiminem does some real odd shit with the same dada values for example a prominent dada Idealism was to base works around: Irony, Cyniscysism and Anarchial nihilism. now top marks to Eiminem 4 his video because it has all those things, gotta love Osama dancin with D12.
[quote]
I'm not even into hip hop heaps and I find it offensive to class Eminem as a hip hop artist!

So tell me, is there a tangible difference between crude 'rappin'' and hip hop? Maybe Enimem is a sub or side genre of hip hop?
[quote]
I didn't like it at first but its growing on me
[quote]
voiceinsideyou - eminem is hiphop =) gotta rate him, his lyrics are hella funny but he lacks the substance to withstand the test of time.

I won't be reflecting on his tracks in a ooooh ahhh manner as I do with De La Soul, ATCQ or Pharcyde tracks. More like 'shiiiet, we classified that stuff as being good?'...
[quote]
tha track is phat full stop ...

Tho ... ask me in two weeks and I be saying "If Mai FM stopped and DIDN'T play tha song for a day, I'd be a happy girl ..."

I love it when tracks are nu and untouched by radio stations .... pity this one won't be ...

as for Eminem, tha man .... he truly is the Vanilla Ice of the '00's .... hahahahaha

Props to tha white boy breaking into a black man's world tho .... i wonder if he would have done so well if he HADN'T been pushed by Dre ?!?!
Hmmmm ... something to ponder ....
[quote]
was he pushed by dre or was he a bum boy sucking up?
[quote]
I love his new album Smile I can't stop listening to it... i can't put into words how great it is, anything i say would sound like an understatement.
