Every party who voted for it has been referred to the police for falling foul of it... and every party which voted against it hasn't.

His defence was quite nicely thought out though. He claimed the material is not an election advertisement because it contains press statements and statements of policy. (Not realising that he voted for a law that covers press statements also :lol
