I am reasonably new to DJing in town and have played Attic Lounge a few times and played at Twisted as well recently. I had a great night at Subnine on NYE in main room then Attic lounge - Attic lounge was so packed they stopped people coming up and the crowd were awesome they loved my tunes. I did a mix recently and it's basically the style of house I play, funky/vocal. It's not studio quality but the best I can get right now I used Sony Soundforge on my pc connecting the mixer to the PC. Please have a listen and I welcome any feedback.

PS I am really keen to play out at some new places if anyone could recommend somewhere I could go and try it out one night please do.

Very interesting mix selection there, kinda like what ZM's office party would sound like if it were held at sandwiches LOL...d/l'd it and had a listen, mixing not too bad, but most of your timing was out by a few bars.. which kinda messes with the musical structure of a few of the songs... 4's .. 8's .. 16's .. 32's .. 64's .. it dont matter just dont kill the groove aye!

Lady Emily loving your latest mix takes me back to nights like Stoneyridge New Years, not enough people play sets like that anymore!!!

yeah, the phrasing was pretty noticeable. also, you should try to mix out of tracks earlier, so you dont get 16 or 32 bars of just 4/4 beats and no music. also, you dont always have to play an entire track. predictable mixing can be boring. if you can match the beats quick enough, try mixing out at the breakdowns, or after the intro, etc.

Thanks for the feedback Sappari, I just got a new mixer and was experimenting with the effects etc... I know it's far from ever being my best mix & I'll take onboard your comments as I have heaps to learn...but I'm going keep at it because it's something I am passionate about I play better live than any CD could record....
