the best record store...................

who would u guys say is the most consistent record store at getting your orders to you within a reasonably timeframe.
i've found bpm haven't been too bad but they have only got about half the records i have order thru them & criminal records have taken three weeks & i still haven't had a reply as to whether they have any of the 10 or so records i ordered.

so who's the best?????

Criminal are pretty good so long as you order of their "new release" list. You can have it emailed to you weekly. Usually takes 1 - 2 weeks... but sadly sometimes longer.

I see that Real Groovy is getting online soon with a feature that allows you to track your orders... Sounds promising.

with tunes its a matter of what you want, what suppliers a store has, how rare or old it is. Depending on style of music most tunes take one week to get in IF they are instock overseas. If its an obscure label then it will take longer etc etc. All tunes are imported so we cant just ring up someone and have them on our doorstep the next day.

Personally i'd say order with all the stores at the same time and see who can get it first, then cancel at a later date once you have it. The gamble however is if two stores get it at the same time.

Never piss off your local record store.

so in all in all a good effort.
& i do agree with the not pissing of the record stores as u do all the hard work of chasing around the labels to get the records in (wouldn't like to see how far i'd get without all the record stores).
so i hope u didn't get offended by my original post.
