I think this must be the 1st time that I can recall England going into the series as favourites? Australia look to be in total disarray and I look forward to seeing them crumble further this test series!

I think Australia still has enough metal to save one or two tests that they don't deserve, and will probably turn out one good/dominant performance. As long as Johnson doesn't have his once in a blue moon test series, I can't see Australia winning. England are developing that air of clinical efficiency that South Africa has at the moment, and that Australia used to have.

Got my tickets for day 2-3-4 of the Perth Test.

I love that I have been able to watch pretty much all the Tests on TV here in Aussie. Its been good and my girlfriend is quietly going insane

Prediction is 3-1 or 3-2 to England. Weather and pitches are just to good to not have results in all the games. The Aussies top order have all scored runs in the domestic series here over the last couple of weeks and the bowlers are all doing well so will be interesting that is for sure. If you think like the poms that they will go down 5-0 you are dreaming. Not to England and not in Australia. Still would love to eat some humble pie

Punter is very lucky to still be in the team imo- has been average for at least the last two years. Has also continued to get dominated by the short stuff.

He's averaged 43 in the last 2 years. That's not bad at all.

The problem is with their bowling attack. With no Warne or McGrath they totally lack the penetration that made them unbeatable.

not just that though, their fielding has turned to shit which relieves a significant amount of pressure off the batsmen, and the bowlers are just not able to apply pressure with 6 good balls an over (the grouping stats are woeful) ,plus some of the tactics seem a bit odd. Aussie NEVER used to hang their heads in the field, if a team was 250/1 in the last hour of the day they would still fight like fuck to create chances, with the same level of energy that the first hour of the day held. Now days they just seem to go soft and whimper if things dont go thier way.

I think it's too hard to say which is the best team, because it depends hugely who they play and who really in form. The Saffas and Indians are right there obviously, and that Lankan batting order is pretty awesome too.
