Seeing that catch full speed- it looked like he scooped it up.

However, watching it over and over slow speed looks like he got underneath it with his left hand and the right hand was a little slow to get under it...

Umpires had the technology- they didn't use it because they thought they had it right...
[quote]
We've all seen the Strauss catch 100 times before and its simply a matter of "part of the ball possibly made contact with the ground" ie no one can be really sure

Should possibly mean batsmen given benefit... but as we have seen 98 time out of the 100 the catch is given, suck it up Australia. You have keeepers that claim catches they 100% know they havent taken!! Oh look theres one of them at the cresae right now! so I would shut the fuck up if I was yous

The Flintoff no ball was very close, it wasnt a massive over step so cant blame the umps too much there either

Hussey obv didnt hit it so thats ONE bad decision against them, fkn Aussies are crying they have been shafted or something Rolling Eyes

England will win tonight I think
[quote]
Still that Hussey one was crazy. Looked very regulation upon first viewing. Looked almost identical to the Strauss dismissal, and Strauss hit the cover off his one.

Prediction: Eng will take a wicket in the first 5ov of this mornigns session. Then a little fight and perhaps another wicket just before lunch. They will come out after lunch and wrap things up. A win of 78 runs.

The dismissal was ultimately out to somebody standing 40m away though wasn't it.. the TV replay showed it pretty clearly touched ground I thought. It was Sunday night though (here)

Anyway - go England Very Happy

Great bowling from Flintoff, quickest he's bowled in ages, and mad <3 the Jesus pose heh. So glad the Ashes is 5 tests, such good cricket. C'mon Aussie for the next one!

Freddie clicked 150 vs. SA last year mate, then against India and then the WI and often sending it down 148/149 mate Smile

Awesome cricketer!

oh word, i thought he had been down on pace a bit of late. Agree though, great player, will be missed after this series.
[quote]
Im pretty sure Freddy is consistant with his 150's, I could be wrong though Smile

SUCH an awesome opening spell which effectively slammed the door on Australia. Very Happy Loved it. Watching Flintoff go about his work, its almost hard to belive he is English Froggy

He's like an throwback English fast bowler from the 70's.. like Willis... or a modern day yaya

You telling me you wouldnt want to sit down and have a beer with ol Nella? Come on mate ... I actually think most guys in the English team is likeable bar KP, I will bottle that cunt! Funny enough he is a yaya Neutral

Saw fucking Nel play a game forSurreyhere a few weeks back, he was the last man in and they needed 3 runs off 3 balls to win. Drops one away to the off side and fully ran off his line to drop shoulder on the bowler. Big collision, the umpires had a massive meeting about it.. Pretty sure the only reason he didn't go off is because the Kent team didn't actually appeal.

Anyway the other guy got out next ball and they deservedly lost. Fucking cheating cunt.

hahahahah yeah Nel, I was scratching my head after I posted that wondering who exactly I was talking about. Best I could come up with (before my mind somewhat predictably switched to thinking about wimmins/the PERVE ITT thread) was Donald/Fanie....but yeah, subconciously I was actually thinking about Nel.

Incorrectly as it turns out ....as the link is pretty weak. Freddy does seem like a top geezer with his shit together. Nel is clearly a nut job and has actualy done a very clever job of turning this personality defect into his main strength as a cricketer. Cant think of too many other cricketers who have achieved this. Greg Matthews? Can anyone name another? Braces maybe?
[quote]
Im not a huge fan of KP... on account of his country switching bizzo which is a pet hate of mine, but I do really like watching him bat. Its just a bit of a shame the best South African batsman in world cricket doesnt actually play for South Africa

I wasnt spoling for a fight, Im too pleasantly stoned on these Tramadols to be farked tbh. I think for the same reason Im struggling to get my point across tho so w/e

If you disagree with what I said thats fine but as usual you are letting your own preferences get in the way of objectiveness imo. If KP ISNT the greatest SA batsman ...then who is? You only have Smith and JK to argue with, neither of whom is *not* clearly superior

I used to detest KP, but he really is a mix of haphazard terribleness and complete glory at the crease....so Im liking him more and more Smile

A loss yes, a big one, not so much. England however is only fooling themselves if they think they can lose both Freddie and KP and still win the Ashes Laughing

LOL @ Haddin for breaking his finger in the warm up after the toss. Thats what you get for being an asshole Brad

Cant get over how crap Broad is bowling... and how England can keep selecting him and the totally ordinary Onions over 2 guys who might be erratic but at least have X-Factor! (and are taking wickets at county cricket atm) CMON FFS Sidebottom and Harmison for the 4th test!

Uhmmm pretty standard practise not to change a winning side!

Watched the first two balls and started crying.
[quote]
What for you big poofta, LOVE test cricket when its swinging. That was a GREAT session of cricket before bedtime. Swing Turned Onions into a completely different proposition, Broad had all the assistance in the world and still sucked

Pretty evenly placed if it swings tonight, aussie have runs on the board
[quote]
Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
[quote]
yeah what can you say. Hopeless performance from England!

Stuart Clark made the difference where it counted! Harmison will have to do the same for them to have any slight chance.

Aussie to bat until the final session on Day 3, posting easily 600+ and to bowl England out for a pittance in the last two days.
[quote]
Mate if they bat that long they'll have 800+. That would be pretty funny.

Laughing

[quote]
hmmm yeah point. They're cruising along now, no problems. 26 overs remaining in the day should see them to at least 250!

oh spoke too soon :>

fuck yes! Go England!

trixy and Yak must be having a ball over there!

blower
[quote]
Nah fuck you Spencer, you wont enjoy this it was Broad that led the charge and he SUCKS! Laughing

Fuck if England wins this they can thank that man, what a spell from him. Anything 250+ is going to be a nightmare to chase on this pitch.

Music
[quote]
Yeah well ffs that spell came out of nowhere Razz he has sucked

Heh.

Can you do us all a favour and start bagging the Black Caps bro. Razz
[quote]
if any of you c*nts can show me where you backed Broad...please stand up Razz Seriously tho...that spell came out of nowhere

His old man coached me, and he was an awesome dude. So Im actually kinda biased. Just goes to show though that the real observers (selectors/proper cricketnerds) can see things we cant
[quote]
Hey it's all good. That's what happens when you put an opinion out there. SOmetimes it bites you on the ass. Ala me and my Hohaia to 5/8 call...

England cheated. Rumours of ball tampering... it'll all come out in the next few days... some sort of cutting instrument was smuggled onto the field
[quote]
It takes a real man to admit when they are wrong D Smile

....
[quote]
Doesn't really matter either, as Aus have Punter, the 12th best batsman of all time.
