Techno (ish) night coming your way

Allo allo,

We've got a night on this Friday. The night's broadly classified as a tech-house night, but I'll be playing a shitload of Detroit flava's ala Sean Deason, Kenny Larkin, Carl Craig, UR, Ritchie Hawtin etc etc (I'm a sucker for Detroit strings, synth lines and syncopated beats). Feel free to come down if you're looking for something to do to service your weekend tech fix....

hehe, thats would imply that ppl actualy go out to tech nights when its biggest downfall is the fact that they dont.
- im not sugesting that you dont. hopefully some fresh faces will spark a bit more interest.

what I ment by the 'same old bullshit' is that alot of clubs host these 'new nights' or 'special nights' and the likes...how many times do you see 'Cuffy, Claire Dell, blah blah blah' as the special DJs in a one off night in a club??? at least 5 a week!!! It's all the same djs, just different night yet they advertise it as 'Big night' in order to justify charging $20 at the door...knwowhatimean???

.and it's nice to see tech nights getting more frequent...

and yer right, I dont go to alot of gigs, let alone tech night gigs...but that has alot more to do with the boredom of club life...
not my lack of interrest in the music.

i know what you ment. its true about the special event price hike for the same old same old etc.. its a bit of a money grabbing joke realy.
in case you thought i may be critical off your post, i can asure you i wasnt.
would be a shame to cause a stinker over a missunderstanding.
i just thought that your coment rather reflects comon feelings about going out to tech nights etc. would be funny (and sad) if the genral public were past being tiered of listening to the same old tech djs and to the point of being tiered even of seeing them advertised. that would suck, but with the bad luck AK's techno history has had such a turn of events couldnt be out of the question. alas, that old techno curse again.
hehe.
