Technics 1210 maintenance in Welly

One of my decks is playing up. The sound coming out of it is not 100% clean. I tried different needles and mixer input and I have the same problem, so I figure it is the decks.

Does anyone know if this is a fixable problem on 1210s? I have no idea how to fix it, or where to go. Is there any places in Welly that do 1210 maintenance, or failing that does anyone know of a way to fix this problem?

I need a replacement pitch fader, and one of my decks, the tone arm will drift towards the center (won't sit on it's little cradle very nicely, has a habit of falling off onto the strobe dots around the edge of the platter). I've tried playing with the anti-skate settings, but this needs more adjustment than that.

i have a mate who is in the process of servicing mine. not sure if he would want to take on the repair of others.. but i can ask if you guys want me to..?
