Hello!

Yeah, Japan is the best place to teach in asia. The cost of living is a lot higher but you also can earn a lot more cash.

Your basic teaching wage is between $3000-$4500 a month and you work between 25-35 hours a week to get this much

Great thing is tax is only 6% so you'll easily save $10,000 in a year. If you knuckle down it'd be more like $20,000+

If you come over with a girlfriend you'll easily save $30,000 between you both in a year

BUT dont do that cause you'll break up!!!! Ha ha, over that now

Qualifications:

ANY basic degree is fine. If you come from NZ and have a working holiday visa (apply at Jap Embassey in Auckland/Wellington) you can work in Japan for 12 months and a lot of English companies (like NOVA) will hire you even if you dont have a degree

To get a working holiday visa you need to have about $4000NZ and a return ticket.

Hope this helps. Any more questions?

That pretty much sums up the basics,so what would you say percentage wise would be my chances of making it happen ,particularly since i have no degree, well excepte from SAE and that dont count for squat Razz ....chur bro... Music

One more thing.....whats the age limit for a jap working visa..?

you don't need a degree just a minimum of 1 year tertiary education.

Sonics: IF you get a working holiday visa a degree isnt even important. The opnly think companies care about is if you have a valid working visa or can get one. If they have to sponsor you you will a degree

Age limit - 30 I think

Sorry, that was posted in a rush

IF you have a valid visa most comanies wont care about your degree. But Novas right, some companies will expect you to have one year or tertiary education so u can teach English

IF you want a company to sponsor you you'll need a degree

Best bet - get a working holiday visa and then a degree wont be such a problem
