Tauranga Oil Spill

I was talking to the CEO of Leigh Fisheries yesterday, and he said as soon as the world found out about the spill, his buyers stopped all purchases of NZ fish. They seem to think that NZ's such a small place, that the spill has covered the whole country.

you might not yawn if it was a melbourne beach effected by the previous shipping accident and if the second was also in the same locale

but ship is fine, off the rocks - why is a ship just leaving port engines failing... could it be just plain bad luck or what (is it a flag of connivence vessel with a bad maintenance record... could this have been averted... what was the pilot doing... are these incidents common/sporadic/hardly ever happen...
