Synth player wanted for Live DnB Act

Wellington based live Drum and Bass band Candy For Strangers is looking for a new lead synth player to bring the noise with us in 2011. For the uninitiated, Candy For Strangers is a 100% live drum ?n? bass and dub-step act, utilising six synthesisers, a live drummer and a banging MC/vocalist.

In late 2009, Candy For Strangers took out the Wellington Regional competition of the NZ Battle of the Bands and placed second in NZ at the national final in Auckland.

In 2010 Candy for Strangers rapidly cemented our place as one of Wellington?s premier party bands with our reputation for scintillating live shows ensuring that venues were continually stretched to the seams with swarms of serious swagger steppers.

2011 is set to be even bigger with a number of epic shows already in the calendar... the only problem is that our lead synth player is leaving the country in March. We want to have a new lead synth player up to speed with our set and immersed in the writing of new tunes before March so that we don?t need to take any time out of the gigging scene.

We have a prime practice space in an industrial area with a big PA and monitoring. All we need is you. If you?ve got a passion for drum ?n? bass music, good technical chops and own at least one (preferably more) synths, we want to hear from you.
