I saw it while coming home from the bar this morning at 5am.. funny how before I left it was still a partial moon and by the time I got home it was full. There was a meteor shower also in the early hours before sunrise this morning but I couldn't see any because of the clouds.

Time for some moon bathing .... some people swear by it ....

Not super-moon related, but when I went on a cruise last year, the last night was crystal clear and a full moon. Never any time on the open water, so hadn't witnessed the utter beauty of the moon lighting up the entire ocean around us, I just stood on the top deck staring at it for about 2 hours, wishing I had a DSLR. Was one of the coolest things I've *ever* seen.

Amazing huh?
Ive had a couple of insane moonlit surf sessions when I was younger. Completely mindblowing (and fucking stupid).
We have next to no light pollution up here, and it was fucking wicked.

Playing "Come to the Sabbat' by Black Widow and finishing by putting the goats head on your head?
[quote]
everyone goes crazy on a full moon.
[quote]
I heard something about gravity and us having a substantial amount of water in our bodies? Sounds a bit whaaheeeyy to me.
But the word Lunatic (modern) comes from being "moonstruck" or being influenced from the moon.

dammit I wish I'd thought of that most appropriate song... though I'd be drinking goats blood to a more kiwi rendition

and I'd never put a goats head on my head... it sits better on my

knee
[quote]
Yeah LK i heard the same thing. Well, the moon gravitational pull controls the tide right? So seen as though humans are a high percentage water it sounds feasible?

I remember many nights out on a full moon and people going more cray cray than usual.
[quote]
Wow! - I had no idea there was a kiwi version BD, cool thanks!
FYI that song is credited as being the beginning of black metal?, and after a quick youtube, I found a version by punk/straight edge band Proaghandi
(complete with Black Widow's singer doing an appearance!)

people that go crazy on the full moon lack discipline

the notion that the full mooon has some sort of polarising effect on humans needs be balanced with the effect of the new moon - does everyone get all sane and proper

stuff of game of throne watching unicorn loving loons imo

[quote]
are you saying

a) you don't love unicorns
b) winter isn't coming?
[quote]
nope not saying that at all - but I don't tie the two together like its some sort of magic stuff

winter comes every single year, FACT
unicorns rule, FACT

do not combine

The new moon has an even greater gravitational effect than the full moon, given that both the moon and the sun are on similar sides of the earth...so people would go crazy when there's a new moon even more.

I just think people find it's buzzy being able to see at night.

people are stupid

we've had electricity and light bulbs for a very long time

Agreed, people are pretty stupid.

Agreed unicorns are gravational

I got the GoT reference and chose to ignore it as it just doesn't fit the narrative of events happening in this thread that I chose to follow

its been a thousand years since someone took me seriously... I was encamped at the time in a circle of fucking rocks on a mountainside...
