Please guys....no more mentioning the refs

The ref was fine mate its the first game in something like 2 seasons the bulls won with Kaplan blowing.

But excuses are awesome let them come so I can giggle some more!

I didn't find anything wrong with the ref either.

You should have heard Mils on the radio this morning. He got picked to captain AB's in upcoming IVECO series, but sounded like he just lost his mother.

Meh - people always say complaining about a referee is an excuse. Bullshit. Just because the Chiefs were smashed, doesn't mean Kaplan was 'fine'. Some glaring errors there, especially in the first half. If the Chiefs had played half decent, there would be a lot more comment.

Still a predictably dominant performance from the Bulls though. Noone really thought the Chiefs could win up there. Well noone smarter than a 3yo anyhow. Didn't realise they still had 14 players from their 2007 squad, and almost zero injuries this year. Great talent, decent coach, no injuries. Too hard to beat really.

saying the ref had a shocker isnt an excuse. The chiefs were outplayed hands down.

But kaplan was pretty abysmal with his consistency. the bulls at breakdown were infringing something chronic, and he missed some huge calls. Was pretty average officiating.

And im still trying to find out how the touchie and ref were both from S.A

Refs and assistant refs were decided not to be from neutral countries this season.

Fair enough for round robin but the finals? Should be neutral IMO. Non bias. Or at the very least the best/consistent officials.. Which i dont belive Kaplan is..

Uhmmm Kaplan is the most experienced and consistant ref in the world.

The refs for the semi's and finals was announced before we even knew who would be playing in them.

Get over it, he was not that bad. If anything he let the chiefs get away with way to many dirty tactics thats lucky for the bulls didnt pay off

Didn't see anyone cry last weekend when a Bryce Lawrence was blowing the Bulls vc Crusaders game.

If it were constant the chiefs should have adjusted their game to suit. If the score line had been a little closer I might have said it would have made a difference.
Even if there were a few bad calls, which affected the scoreline I don't believe it woud have changed the result.

Exactly, that's because he didn't have glaring shockers like Kaplan did? You seem to be ignoring the fact that accepting the Bulls played extremely well, and the fact that the ref was shit, are actually mutually exclusive.

Clearly your head is so far up your arse you cannot simply see what we are trying to say; and that is kaplan and the touch judge made errors in the game that took the gloss off the bulls win.

Bit strange having South African officials... But then again when the alternative is having Aussie ones, it's probably a good move. I can't think of a single Aussie ref who I would trust with a final, so I guess the argument is the Kaplan was appinted on merit as he's clearly the bestt ref in the Super 14 if not the world.

nobody is crying. The bulls deserved to win. Nobody is denying that. All i am stating is that there were some shit calls from some pretty average officiating.

ffs, why you guys are even discussing the ref is beyond me. he didn't have a perfect game but they were the sort of bad calls you see every weekend.
