Well as of today he is a definite crook. Failed to turn up for legal hearing despite being subpoenaed (had to google that spelling! heh). So regardles of guilt on the fraud matter, he's still in trouble!

I heard on the radio this morning that he tried to flee the US in a private jet, but got caught.

There was always something a little slimy about that dude. The incident with the English players wives sitting on his lap was really off.

Listened to an interview with Tony Cozier on Radio Sport and he said that they'll actally lose very little. Stanford had been pumping money into Windies cricket for quite a while at local and club levels a while ago, but basically decided to pull that money because of corruption and ineptitude quite a while ago.

Cozier put the TOTAL monetary loss to Windies cricket at only $1m. So not as bad as other will make out.
