Jeeeez easy fulla. Test was what? one day old and you buggers have called in the cleaners!

Excellent 2nd days work from us, another one of thse and its an even game. Def needs runs from up top, kinda dislike our tail Patel, OBrien, Martin ewwwwww

Very VERY dissapointing return by Patel with the ball 120-0 @ 5 an over. Neutral sheesh

Good grinding ruined by Taylor's loose shot!
[quote]
well I was reffering to your comment about the smashing dalai Razz

You c*nts are miserable. As usual. Excellent 2nd day and we have posted 300 and still a couple of wickets left. Pretty decent effort by us in a tough place to tour + 1st test in fkn ages... imo

Good to see Bondy staggering some buggers stumps with his FIRST ball back in international cricket Very Happy He will prob see the worlds number one fast bowler in ODI's before hes done

O'Brien bowling pies again. Neutral

...lol. And just as I type that he takes a wicket.

Filthy. Cheating. lankans

Claiming a half volley catch

Replays definitely weren't 100%, and any doubt at all goes to the batsman

Hope you fuckers get another tsunami, except this one kills all of you
[quote]
Good period of play from NZ after lunch. Getting the last 5 wickets for just 44 runs.

...then a fucken useless umpiring decision that immediately puts them on the back foot. Mad
[quote]
150/5 with Taylor on 70? Fuck's sake.

Let's be realistic about our talent atm... It's number 8 playing number 2 at home. Predictable pasting so far.

Taylor was hitting it sweet, Jesse looked ill? havent heard any reports on that but he was never sticking around batting like that

McIntoshes lbw was the worst decision I have seen for a long long time. When the appeal went up I shifted my eyes to my poker game I was so convinced it was not out. lankan bowler doesnt even appeal, then goes up for some crybaby triple appeal carry on and the ump falls for it? ridiculous

Guptills dismissal was pretty thoughtless but check his facial expresion walking off and in the pavilion Laughing I havent seen a cricketer who gets so upset at getting out since under 12's when this guy in our team Andrew Buckton loved batting so much he would routinely sob his way back to the pavilion
[quote]
Unless Vetorri and Oram put on 100+ runs here NZ are going to lose.
[quote]
Actually, they would probably lose if they did that anyway. Sri Lanka will come in and blast runs then have two days to bowl NZ out ...of which they'll probably only need one day.
[quote]
we got pwnt but they could not remove the bails of the phantom!

[quote]
Good innings by dan... just shows what a bit of application can get ya, well impressed by O'Briens knuckle too
[quote]
what? FUCK OBRIEN. is what i was coming in here to post

ATTN OBRIEN: Did you notice how the Lankan fielders quickly looked back at you funny when you walked off? Know why? Heres why....NONE of them wopuld EVER even think about walking to yuor bowling. ESPECIALLY not in a test match as finely poised as this one was when you pulled your "heroic" walking routine

Idiot. Rolling Eyes Just when the game was getting interesting. Cue shot of OBrien sat in the pavilion alone. Danny would have been pissed off and so I imagine was the rest of the squad. Walking is for fagits

Music
[quote]
What are you on about? I saw one of the Sri Lankans walk in the 1st test on a close call. So I don't think you can say none of them would ever walk to his bowling.
[quote]
fine. switch it to

which is the point anyway
[quote]
that suxored. No way Danny should be top of batting and bowling stats. We lost 30 sessions of test cricket(well we would of if we had made it to the full 30)Next. Crying or Very sad
[quote]
I reckon push him up to 1 or 2 places, def above McCullam and maybe above Oram, he is always trying to save innings, maybe let him create one.
[quote]
he doesnt want to move up tho, and he shouldnt have to, if we ever like.....get a top order. But yeah he may well be forced into doing so in the end
[quote]

No. He averages 42 at #8 and about 15 everywhere else
[quote]
yeh, fuck pushing him up, he's already captain, go to bowler and selector, no need to add top order bat to that list. I seriously though that Moles would bring some grit to our batting, now i have my doubts about him. We have the skill level in Ryder, Guptill and Taylor to be quite formidable, with McCullum and Vettorri to smash home the advantage later. Imo make Danny the selected allrounder, but still down the order, get Oram out of there, and pick another promising young batsmen. We need to get young guys facing test bowlers and pressure asap. Or something. gaahhhhh!!!!

yeah this. and what JG said. I actually kinda like the look of Guptil/Flynn/How..and to a slightly lesser degree McIntosh. idk. Top order battingn is all about the top 2

I think our real problem is our best ever batsmen Crowe and Turner are kinda weirdos/bad communicators

GET MY MAN RIGOR IN THERE

nigga madean awesome career with 3 scoring shots, just read his book love love love!

Jacob Oram became the second man to take a Twenty20 international hat-trick as New Zealand beat Sri Lanka by three runs in Colombo

16.6

Oram to Mathews, OUT, Oram gets rid of Mathews, who chips an innocuous delivery back to the bowler, huge wicket that, Mathews, Sri Lanka's last remaining recognised batsman, has just perished to a full toss

AD Mathews c & b Oram 21 (31m 22b 2x4 0x6) SR: 95.45

Then the next over Oram bowls...

19.1

Oram to Bandara, OUT, a great jumping catch from McCullum at long-off silences the crowd, a low full toss from Oram, Bandara lofts it straight at long-on, that's another dot ball, McCullum amde plenty of ground to his right before taking that one

CM Bandara c McCullum b Oram 7 (11m 9b 0x4 0x6) SR: 77.77

Malinga is the batsman walking out

19.2

Oram to Kulasekara, OUT, Oram's on a hat-trick now, Kulaskeara holes out to long-on, another low full toss, Kulasekara's shot finds Broom, who has an easier catch than McCullum last ball

KMDN Kulasekara c Broom b Oram 12 (24m 11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 109.09

...3 wickets in 3 consecutive deliveries from Oram.
[quote]
You've probably been confused by the fact there was a couple of overs inbetween from other bowlers.
[quote]
Perhaps the commentators were confused too. Because they didnt mention the hat trick ball. Either that... or I wasnt really paying attention (which I wasnt) Cool
[quote]
If it's the same commentators used in the tests then it wouldn't surprise me. They say moronic stuff most of the time, so not surprising if they missed it.

Like the guy going on about how one of the NZ batsmen was very lucky to be there after another absurd over the top Sri Lankan LBW appeal, even when he's seen the replays that show clearly the ball pitching outside leg ...and yes, a shot was played.
[quote]
Saw the replay last night on CGW

On Jakes 2nd ball of the over, when the catch is taken Danny Morrison starts squealing that "Oram is on a hat trick!".....when in fact he had already taken one. The players themselves didnt even know until the game was over when some scorer_nerd told them. So yeah cant blame me for not picking up on it
[quote]
Good win last night. Bond, 4 overs, 3 wickets for 18 runs. This could be promising for the ODIs.

From the highlights it looked like the NZ bowlers bowled way too many loose full tosses that were easily smacked to the boundary though.

[quote]
fuck me that is random Laughing ...
[quote]
Now who here googles his own name?
[quote]
fkn lol @ this

ok where to start, disclaimers I suppose

# The incident(s) I speak of were over 25 years ago. My memory of names may be hazy. You say you are the only Andrew Buckton in the country. Well I may not even have Buckton spelt correctly. maybe the guys name was Buckten, or Bucktor, or Buckethead. Fuck knows. But if you played for BCC its probably indeeed you. Ive learnt a lesson here anyway and thats to not use full names when posting. I'll add a slight apology for raking your name through the mud online unneccasarily. I'll just use initials next time

# Having racked my brains over the alledged incident(s) I would have to remove the word "routinely" from my post, as I can only actually remember one sobbing back to the pavilion occurance

I have more information on the incident which may help you Mr Buckton in ascertaining if I am talking about you. I now recall why the incident stuck in my mind. Heres what happened

Im pretty sure I was aged about 11- 12, and in those days 50's were pretty rare. No one has hitting tons so 50's were like the pinnacle and the scorers used to call out when you were on 48/49 etc. So one day this guy Andrew got to 49, had it announced to the 30 odd peeps in attendance and promptly chased a wide one and nicked out. On his way back to the pavilion he sobbed. A lot

I probably would have forgotten about it over the years but the reason I remember is this. At the end of the innings the scorers announced that there was one more run crossed off in the scorebook than could be atttributed to the innings tally (if you guys follow)....so they deicided since Andrew had scored....I dunno prob 30 odd % of the total runs they would just asume it was his and his tragic 49 and scrubbed and 50 awarded

I was fkn furious. partly cos I was, (am still am) ridiculously competative to the point where I slightly resent teammates successes over mine. And partly cos I thought it was extrememly lame and incorrect in a technical sense.

So there you go, still think it wasnt you? BTW theres no chance you were smashing up plastic chairs @ 11 years old. Youre not Jesse Ryder. That shit ensures you bat at 11 for about a month after

Smile
