You asked for it and here it is folks:

Here's an exclusive sneak-peek at whats going down for the Sub 20 crew.

Hopefully all of you saw the teaser flyers we were handing out over the weekend. Spectrum aims to take things in a new directions for the all ages crew, with an emphasis on quality and musical diversity over quantity. It is being promoted by Kam, DamNation & Scoob-E from the Planet Hardcore crew (who brought you the unforgetable Bonkers last year) though it is not a PH gig.

It will be a regular event starting some time in August with a venue never before used for split All Ages/R18 events. The lineup will change every party and will include DJs the likes of which are not usually seen at All Ages events.

The split zone thing is amost a return to the old days where R18 party-goers were happy to dance all night alongside the younger ones, provided they could hit the bar if they needed somewhere to chill out and have a drink or 2 (or 12 in the case of the Brain). It also gives the younger ones a chance to show they can party just as hard as the veterans, if not harder!

Keep your eyes locked to www.thespectrum.co.nz

Any questions?

Nice work getting this up and running Nick.

When I was 15, I first went to Platinum (on Fanshawe St, 104.. Pretty infamous) and there started my love for dance music.. And I was taught by none other than Nick Collings and Kam etc. You sub 20's are very lucky to have such capable and knowledgable people showing you the way. Hopefully it can build its own community much like Platinum did - Some other Sub20 ventures have come and gone but you guys should tell ya mates.. 'Cuz if you all support this by coming along, it could turn into something very very cool.

Big old props to Kam and Nick, and Damnie.. Go hard guys and all the best

So its Saturday August 7 2004 @ Kiss Nightclub (309 K'Rd) - Split Zone Venue - All Ages / R18 Zones Very Happy

Hmm Zenny do u want to go? Smile
[quote]
wow what an awesome tribute Dr J ... thanks heaps..

i totally agree without Platinum / Icon etc alot of people would have never met and maybe alot less people would be into dance now a days.

Heres hoping once again we can do the same with a new generation of people so our future can be rockin on down to the dance music instead of drinking tui spewing in the gutter in your local park every week..... not that theres anything wrong with that...

Jeremy D - I got it around here somewhere 2... i am a real hoarder when it comes to old flyers, shows, videos, mixtapes etc. All part of the history of dance.

One day i'd love to open up the dance music muesum.. if anything it would be a bloody good laugh at where we have come from to where we are now and where we are heading to
[quote]
Zenith - The set times etc arent fully confirmed yet.. but i can 100% guarantee you will hear 100% of the genres we advertise in the all ages room. So no one will miss out on any style (that is unless they show up late)
