Now that I can tell the difference between the trance and hard dance forums, here's the playlist for this week's show, better late than never.

Dj: Karim S
Show: Special K show (7 - 9pm Tuesdays)
Station: Twisted Radio 107.7fm (Auckland NZ)
Stream: http://www.twisted.co.nz/radio/viewshow.php?id=8 (choose which show you want to stream)
Podcast: http://www.twisted.co.nz/radio/podcast/Special_K.rss
Date: 11/04/06

7.00 Catwash - Touch Me <<< menacing little electro number, probably not good as a first tune.
7.08 Dario Nunez - Cacel
7.13 Bjorn Mandry & Thomas Gold - Sould Be <<< beautiful melodic progressive trance.
7.23 Sam Perez & Dariush - Across the Ocean (Max Graham manta ray mix) <<< Max Graham turns in a real dark progressive monster of a remix.
7.25 Dario Nunez & David Vio - Tierra
7.32 Jeff Bennett - Power Surge <<< melodic techno.
7.40 Shay DT feat. Le Sound Express - Kinky Love (Vocano 2 mix)
7.45 Joris Voorn & Edwin Oosterwal - For the People <<< along the same vein as Joris’ gigantic MPX309
7.53 Paco Osuna - Mindacid
7.59 Union Jack - Two Full Moons & A Trout 2006 (Luke Chable remix)
8.09 Mario Piu - Moscow Discow <<< this is Mario’s latest work. Like many of his other productions it’s class comes not only from the fact that the main melody is so exotic, and catchy as anything, but more from the way the whole track is put together, it starts off with a chilled wee breakbeat that’s later backed up by some nice strings before getting into a fairly serious techno vibe, then turns back into a real melodic trancer after the break. I give this 10/10
8.13 David Lara - My Definition of D
8.18 Mikael Delta - Dazed <<< Another little sleeper, this is techno but will work well on a house floor, the first 3 minutes (intro) is sleepy as fuck but then it rewards whoever lasts the distance by turning into a real groover…..
8.26 The Cranberries - Shattered (Jacob Carrison remix)
8.31 Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek (Spencer Collective mix)
8.40 LNQ - You Can Trade Me For Something Good <<< Beautiful melodic trance courtesy of Ljungqvist (a.k.a Latigidi), beautiful sweeping background strings make this an excellent warmup track before you get to the real trance.
8.46 Sander van Doorn - Pumpkin (original)
8.53 Carl B – Solitude <<< somebody better call up George Bush cos I got me a weapon of mass destruction over here!! This the record out of the Somatic Sense camp in yonks……good old fashioned euphoric trance the way it should be - beautiful buildup, beautiful break a main riff that’ll make any trance lover go wild and a bassline that just won’t quit.. Careful when you drop this tune, cos it will tear the roof off!! Set to be huge, tell Alex MORPH to play it.

love the melody in solitude but the kick drum is shite. most of carls productions are awesome bar his weak drums.

but I already got my ticket so it's all good.

Kurt - is it his kick drums or is it the way a lot of the somatic records are pressed? A lot of them sound a bit tinny....
