Lk Pro – Makavelli <<< Funky techno with a very housey vibe, excellent warmup material.
David Amo & Julio Navas vs Les Schmitz – Gigistar
Soda Inc – Sweat Sour <<< Most of Soda Inc’s productions would be classified as ambient music and a lot of their productions are featured on ambient or lounge comps, this track has a bit more of a pulse but is still very chilled.
Andy Cato – La Luna <<< Andy Cato is in fact one half of the Groove Armada outfit. Here he makes his debut on Azuli Silver, a very belearic and emotional progressive house trip with lovely strings and a piano in the break, if there was a track made to be played when you’re out on a yacht somewhere getting suntanned, sipping on a cool drink – this is it.
Kid Massive feat. Karina – Get Down (Beatchugggers remix) <<< As usual, Beatchuggers take an otherwise dry production and make it a floor filler.
Generation 3 – Like a Woman (Ns Connexxion remix) <<< Ns Connexxion made their debut on D-Vision with the hit “Freak U Upâ€, of course everyone played the shitty commercial house mix on the b-side rather than the superb electroy dubby original mix which uses only slight hints of the commercial vibe just to keep it interesting. Their remix of “like a woman†follows in the same vibe, only it’s better.
Swain & Collingwood – Never Be the Same (Richard Dinsdale remix) <<< Can’t say I’m feeling the original at all although Sasha seems to be a fan, the Richard Dinsdale remix on the other hand is a bit out of leftfield, it starts off just like any other electro track, but then turns into a real trancer right at the end, excellent use of the vocals really help the track (even though it’s a male vocal).
Crazy P – Bum Cop <<< This is a beautiful chilled house number, uses little more than a piano, kick drum and guitar licks in the offbeat, later it’s helped along by big strings in the background. Very beautiful melody, played by Bevan Keys at the last DHnF.
Hoxton Whores – No Pips <<< I don’t know what track this supposedly rips off, but the whores have made an absolute blinder of a remix.
Mohawk – My Deepest Darkest Secret <<< Huge prog-house, little more than the bassline is catchy about this track until it rips into full throttle, the vocals help heaps too “Do you like that??†Hell yes!!
Latigidi – It’s Time (Antidote’s Elektroshock remix)
Beckers pres. Space Safari – Have to Change <<< This is the b-side to his latest production on Open Up records, not much to say really, Beckers’ productions are usually top notch and this is no exception, he doesn’t try anything too new with this one, but I still think it’s amazing, I’ve only ever heard people play the A-side though.
David Tort – Revolution <<< Progressive house, David Tort has been producing house for donkey’s years, although his name isn’t quite superstar material for some reason. This track uses a throbbing bassline, a piano loop and some famous American president’s voice.
R-Tem – M.S.F.G <<< RTem was featured a few months back on one of Lost Languages Future Heroes EP. His production back then was strictly prog-trance, looks like he’s cracked the big time, now being signed to the very respectable Baroque Ltd label. M.S.F.G is a bass-heavy progressive house track, with a very subtle electric guitar loop in the background without which the track is actually quite dry, it breaks down into a superb piano trancer before kicking back into the main bass-driven melody. MSFG stands for Money – Success – Fame – Glamour for those that are interested. Huge.
David Amo & Julio Navas vs Les Schmitz – Asteroid
Airwave – Progressive Aggressive (Antidote’s electroshock mix)
Unknown – Planet Earth <<< Random house white label, production wise it’s actually pretty tinny and the intro is really dry, but the break uses an amazing melody (which I’m sure is ripped from something else) combining both electric guitar and violins.
Jaytech – Genesis <<< This takes some getting used to, featured on Tiesto’s ISOS 5 CD. Prog trance with a beautiful vocal sample, it’s kind of interesting for the first half but only really gets good after the second break when a whole lot of backing strings get introduced to the track and make it sound a lot stronger.
Kane – Something to Say (Sander Kleinenberg remix)
Erik de Koninig – Solar Beam <<< Erik is one half of Three Drives for all the TA’s. The A-side is excellent but it was way too fast to mix into, this is the B2 track, a more progressive trance number, very nice way to wind things down.
Our stream and transmission was munted that night so apologies if you are unable to stream / download this show – Podcasters should be sweet though.
