Dr Seuss may be a good one here?
40inch V4000 for just over $2,200 - seems like a good deal for Full HD 40", built in Freeview HD etc?

Any owners/comments on that TV?? Considering the 32" as well as that suits my room better probably, but deal ain't as good - for a $500 difference I'd rather have the 40!

Go the 40" - it's worth it.

I have the previous gen V series which was 720 and it still looks absolutely stunning.

The V series are the best value for money. They're not cheap and nasty, they're not over the top with shit you won't need - they're the balanced purchase and an amazing investment. Haven't had ANY issues with mine (touch wood) and Sony are one of the BEST brands when it comes to reliability on their televisions according to Consumer testing.

Also, Sony's look absolutely stunning as computer monitors (their resolutions are always mapped pixel for pixel it seems) so I say go for it.

Although, I'd try and drive that price down to $2050 incl gst. Wink *taps nose*

I think the on board tuners are crappy. The picture is not very good at all. If you could afford a little more, you should be able to get a Pioneer PDP428 for about $2400. They will probably get cheaper again coming up to Xmas. The Sony is a good TV but I am very pro Plasma, especially Pioneer. Resolution isnt everything.
