the 2002 D1 champion was Katsuhiro Ueo and he was driving a 180hp ae86.
Not only are they harder to drift because of the lower power, but they also have a shorter wheelbase which also adds to the difficulty. A lot of the guys who drift in the high power turbo cars have real trouble trying to drift properly when they get into cars like the 86.
The great thing about the high power cars though is the mega smoke they can spin up Very Happy
