what a wicked night these sohl sessions are turning out to be! weve done dnb at sohl 3 this past sat being the 4t time in in the last 7 weeks.. fridays and saturdays.. with no advertising at all, even on here (bar this past sat).. just word of mouth. They have consistenly been good and got better every time Punters,staff and management requesting for more dates to be arranged and make it a regular affair..

So.. dare i say ..

Hamilton may have found its new place for DnB @ Sohl ??

Im sure many of the people on here that do post and some old faces if they get back on here will prob agree... if they have been to the last few times..

so...there is a light at the end of the tunnel.. and dnb is still lurking the midst in hamilton.


anyways.. theres some more dates already announced soon, Is gona be a twice a month affair or more. With a saturday and friday rotation system. just check back for dates.

and a possible near xmas special in DEC.

Also be on the look out for SOLA ROSA @ SOHL in NOV.
with Spikey Tee coming along with the band, and some possible dnb after the set.. keep your eyes peeled here...

I've been to the last two, and had a great time. Nice atmosphere and all that, I'd argue they need to look at dimming the lights a bit though, there's something about dnb and bright-ish lights that don't quite go

I do miss the old regular dnb downstairs at Catalyst though, nothing like dark dirty tunes in the dark dirty bassment Though I have a feeling those days are probably gone forever I see Concord Dawn/SOM/Upbeats are touring everywhere except Hamilton, I have no idea whatsover for the reason behind this, but never mind Concord Dawn always pulls a huge crowd......


So the Sohl thing is absolutely great news for dnb heads in the H. But I do miss the old days too blah blah

yeah would be nice to do the ol catalyst thing again.. but times change and some times its good to do differnt things.. and the people we seem to get at sohl is a good crowd who have the open minds to listen and stay.. and enjoy themselves... and provide a nice atmosphere to enjoy ur night in.

as for the concord tour and hamilton not being on it..

we have already spoken to them RE: the toour, and they came a to a decsion to wait out on hamilton, as they will be touring properly for the new released album forthcoming in march sometime as i hear, and we wouldnt have the costs vs population support for more than concord. so....

Dont worry well let u know more when they coming again.... were already discussin that... just waiting on the spring tours to finish and set it up! BIG TINGS!

Im looking forward to playing Sohl again next time round. Good news is the Next Tune from Macro

I feel more comfortable playing at Sohl than I do at home,.....was my first ever gig Sohl.
and that turned into my first residency. 6 or so years ago.... Playing Ninja Tune and Bukem style grooves.

Why doesn't Catalyst do it themselves (himself!)? Kyle if you're reading this, why not?!!! Everyone knows how well CD go down there, its always absolutely chocker from very early on.



Catalyst wants us to support our genre, how about putting on some of our genre?!!! And it doesn't get better than the lineup all the other cities are getting

Yeeeaahh Hey Pubic did you talk with Mark re: lighting?? If you want I could talk to a mate of mine who is a sparky and get him to sort a dimmer on the cheap. Maybe Sohl could hook him up sum free drinks..

Also, to those popping down on friday expect more bass as me cerwins are coming down to expand in the place!
