At first completely critical of the power company... and slowly (a week after an academic criticises the value of allowing Pacific Island migrants)... other details/stories start to come out.

Are the media slowly softening their stance of the power company now that time has moved on?

Despite repeated warnings about how serious her health was, Folole Muliaga often went without her medication and sometimes without her oxygen ventilator, a coroner's court has been told.

But Dr Veale said she could have died at any stage, even while using her oxygen machine for the recommended 16 hours a day.

i don't think it has anything to do with time moving on. the inquest just like any other court hearing allows the media to hear more detail about what happened which - if the reporter is capable of grasping it and thinking about it - in turn results in more balanced reporting. this is why preemptive witch-hunts that the media so commonly create end up dissolving and becoming something completely different once the facts come out. we see it time and time again in crime.
