Hailing from West London, Silkie’s DJ sets combine impassioned melodies, ruff London bass, wonky synth and jungle-esque flourishes. These have made Silkie and his Anti Social Entertainment camp mainstays of the biggest and most influential venues in dubstep, like Fwd>>, DMZ London & Leeds, as well as holding down a serious slot on London’s leading dubstep radio station, Rinse FM.

Silkie began producing at 15 while still at school. He’s now seeing the fruits of his labour with DJ bookings across both the UK and worldwide. Through his immersive production vision, he’s long since ventured beyond his own personal City Limits.

“City Limits Volume 1” - Silkie’s album recently released through Deep Medi (the burgeoning stable of dubstep pioneer, Mala, of Digital Mystikz/DMZ fame) - is the culmination of eight years hard work in the studio. “City Limits Volume 1” is a glorious explosion of physical energy and concentrated emotion, proving itself a valiant contender for the most imaginative album in the dubstep sphere for 2009.
