I LOVE THEM They're Technomagnesio 6-spoke magnesium wheels 15x5.5 at the front and 16x8 at the rear... very light, very rare and at about $3000 a wheel, not cheap to replace!

NICE! ive only got 2". mines polished aswell, do you find it hard to keep nice and shiney? i was thinking about getting it chromed but id have to take the wheels apart and i dunno if i can be bothered. The front are especially hard to keep clean cause ive got racing pads and they dust heaps

I want the 18" white Work Emotions 18 x 10 for the racecar. Gnna get some sort of deep dish for the rotary (when i get it)

I love my MMC brake system... no brake dust whatsoever... even after two whole days tearing around pukekohe my wheels are as clean as a whistle

basically if I keep on top of it every two weeks with this and a plastic soft brush easy as pie.

Its the only stuff that works and I also use a spray on dust repellant afterwards. It keeps the coated inner bits free from build up and leaves an amazing finish on the polished dish.

The 330s and M3's share the same breaks and the pads are pretty soft so alot of break dust alround however the trade off for having the anchors from nam.

yeah they are real nice, just what i wanted, the gold with the polished lip. Ive had them for a few months now, im pretty sure i had them the last time i turned up at your place. I found them second hand at mag warehouse in mt wellington so they arent perfect (plus i kurbed them slightly backing out a bitch driveway - gutted) but they only cost $1500 with tyres!! DEAL! 215/45 on front and 235/40 rear.

Blade - you can have as many as you like!!!! i saw a spirit r on trade me but the guy wanted about $60k for it. Ltd edition he reckoned. Series 7 would be the bizzo. Like the series 5 compared to the series 4, the series 7 is an improved model on the series 6, nothing major, but a lot of the bugs with the new models were fixed. Apparently the series 6's had a tendency to catch fire!

Yeah i saw that Spirit R, $60k is a joke, I've been quoted $50k for the Type A (comes with no back seat and 2 carbon fibre race seats, weighs about 100kg less than the Type B Leather front and back version but forking nice and has everything the other does, I'd be real bloody keen to get my hands on one, one of the few cars around that if kept nicely will only increase in value!

you have a mate that works at RES eh? wonder how much he'd charge for a turbo back 3 inch into a twin 2.5 inch system. I am currently looking into importing a racing beat system from USA cause i cant find one here that will give me looks, performance and still keep it relatively quiet......

Looks is mearly what you want it made out of and what muffler you want to use. Performance as long as its straight as possible you'll get that however why split from a 3" into twins? thats a slight decrease in performance rather than just 3" straight through, Quietness is a tough one, basically I'd stick with the racing beat one because they will have been tested for all of the above.

You could always ring RES and have a chat to them, Mark who owns the business is extremly knowledgable and its him that sets the pricing, my mates just a grease monkey

what the hell is not legal about a carbon bonnet?? You can have whatever bonnet you want and its perfectly legal, its not legal to NOT hav a bonnet unless its certed.

fair enough, theres a guy that makes fibreglass ($300) and carbon fibre ($450) bonnets for my car (without scoops) but says they are only legal for racing.....

not really ... some people want carbon fibre for more than just the broken weave look. (personally hate it) you use it for weight reduction and strength.

A lot of my friends in the states paint there e46 carbon bonnets.

I like the look of carbon fibre for what it stands for (advanced technology) not so much the pretty pattern Painting carbon fibre just costs more in paint, all depends on what your going for and what suits the car you drive. If I had my way (and a lottery win) id make my skyline completely out of dry carbon fibre like the uber cool japanese tuner track beasts

still have to clear coat them .. A lot of people are un aware that most low grade carbon fibre is not UV resistant and you actually end up getting a yellow look from the carbon after about 8months and also a loss in structual strength. The high grade stuff costs a lot of money (2-3000 for a bonnet).

to do your car properly you'd be looking around 20-30k for the good stuff .. (panels that is)

course ya gotta clear coat them except dry carbon fibre
