I reckon, if he is asked, he should say yes.

Should Australian cricket select him? Why not!

Flag the 'up and comers arguments etc' and how much of a slapin the face it would be to them. And talk of desperation by the selectors. If I was a selector and knew Warne would play in the Ashes and, furthermore, had a spin attack like theirs currently, its a no-brainer.

As for me the cricket fan, I would love to see it. The guy is a superstar and simply the most entertaining (in cricket terms) cricketer to play the game in my lifetime.

It would create huge interest in The Ashes and be a great story no matter what happens.

I would like to see Warnie give it one final fling. Purely because he is Shane Warne.

Thoughts?

Would fucking love for him to make a comeback against the Proteas...

...as long as Daryl Cullinan makes a comeback too :>

Oh I dunno... Didn't Warnie get the better of Cullinan in the end?

yeah, he averaged under 2 against warne.

what you want is Hansie to make a comeback, cause he averaged like 40 against Warne, and as a zombie he's bound to do even better. Also, he was only banned for life, so they shouldn't be able to stop him playing now...

in the end? warnie had cullinan from the get-go to the very end...

my post was a piss-take... never before has there been such a clear case of a batsman being mentally crippled by one bowler.

from a pure cricketing viewpoint, it was quite awesome to watch Smile

This from wiki:

His treatment of South African batsman Daryl Cullinan was such that Cullinan was said to have sought the help of a therapist to overcome Warne's psychological hold

Oh lol. I knew it was bad but I didn't quite realise it was that bad.

This gives me a thread idea...
