should lomu play in the world cup?

as an icon of nz rugby i believe that he should play in the world cup.

by selecting him it gives the nation hope that we can lift the trophy.

its a sad day for nz rugby if mitchell doesnt pick him

um.. isnt he really sick?

1st - he gotta be fit to play npc
2nd - he gotta be good enough to be picked for the AB's
3rdly - he has to get through full contact rugby

can't see it happening

but in saying that I would like to see him there, because he does know along with Cullen how to scorce try's & lots of them..........

If Caleb Ralph goes ahead of a fully fit Lomu to the cup I'll be fully gutted......

Lomu & Cullen at the cup would be great but first Lomu has to get through the NPC, if he is fit & healthy and dominates and scores heaps of tries John Mitchell would be an idiot NOT to select him ! especially knowing that at some stage we will be playing England !

Lomu on the field against the poms would be a huge psychological advantage to us!

I would love nothing more than to see Lomu AND Cullen & the cup, we would win and they would leave to go overseas to greener pastures knowing they had done the job and winning the WC would be a great way to say good bye to these LEGANDS Of NZ rugby.

I agree with some of the others here, lets see what his form is like before we bag Mitchell for picking or not picking him.

By wanting to pick him now becasue he may be available isn't it just another case of picking on emotion rather than substance?

As with Leon McDonald, Jonah's health has to come first. If by some miracle he gets himself back on track, then he can be looked at for the WC. Any debate before this possability happens is just conjecture...

i've seen dialysis patients over the last 4 years and it doesn't look good for him.................but then miracles do happen ( Steve Gurney for mind beat certain death ).Jonah has that x factor.
