SHAPESHIFTER playn new years eve @ Wanaka w/ TIKI

Hey it's confirmed that Shapeshifter Are back for new years eve 08/09 to play at lake Hawea (wanaka)... alongside TIKI, Sunshine sound System, Pacific Heights and More...cant wait! That is the only New Years show theyre doing, no R&V or Phat this year... if you've heard they are doing R&V, its all lies...R&V have been announcing artists (including Shapeshifter) on the line up that are not and never were playing . I almost got my R&V ticket a while back but heard bout this gig (Lake Hawea)...

Trying to find ticket info for their gig at Mangawhai Tavern on Dec 26 too - We're all booked into our accomdation cant find tickets!

Yea pretty sure there's two big camping areas, one behind the gig and one by the lake, and tickets are still being sorted for summer tour including Mangawhai and Hawea, check www.shapeshifterlive.com for when tickets are on sale, they say should be within a week or two...

got a cottage/cabin thing at a wananka camping ground sorted plus some tent sites. now was i dreaming when i saw something about a shuttle between the gig and wanaka?

we're mostly flying in from auckland, one or two driving in from nelson.

Yep its about that from Christchurch.
I've been looking at flying into Dunedin or Christchurch as other alternatives and busing to Wanaka but think it all works out to around the same cost as flying into Queenstown.
Bus from Queenstown to Wanaka is only $15 return which is pretty good.
Cant get anyone to commit to it at the moment so just going to go ahead and book my flights so I dont have to pay as much as they will.

Tickets for the tour are on sale on ticketek I believe.

Have booked the last campsite up at Riverside in Mangawhai for the 26 December gig. Will get tickets for both on the 5th.
