Hello!

I have just bought deluxe edition tickets to this and am shitting the bed with excitement.

I am not just into trance however, I love most dance music, but the atmosphere and performances at this event are next to none!

It would be a shame to miss such an amazing event that is heading so close to old NZ.

Who else is going? I need to share my excitement with someone

So far there is no trance on the line up, infact, the only thing on the line up is Fredde "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" le Grande - $140 for him?!?! PASS

hmm.. I pay good money for awesome atmosphere and something really innovative and different from the same old same old...

if one can only think about the $$ and one act whom they do not so much admire, then they are missing the fuck out!

..and knowing the history of this event there will surely be some trance

The history of the event WAS trance, it's changed with the times a lot, some countries have been getting trance, some only techno/electro as that's what is popular there at the time. But yes, I'm figuring it'll be a mix of electro and trance.

Missing out? Pffftt...45,000 wasted sweaty munters drooling over each other isn't my idea of fun. Some people need the bells and whistles, the lights and the lasers to have a good time. Me, I just need some good music and my mates...so far, this isn't offering any good music and only one of my mates is cheesy enough to want to go to this!

hmm need is not quite the operative word.. more like want, want to see awesome laser shows and artistic performance because they are pleasing to the eye - nothing to do with needing to have "bells n whistles" to have a good time... I am totally happy hanging with my mates without an extraveganza, but this is NYE.. not this weekend

sweaty munters ? haha that would describe a lot of the parties I have been to over the years .. doesnt really put me off because the difference is I dont choose to get up in their arm pits! I stear clear and dont focus on that shit, what would be the point in that? at any event? I'm sure there are plenty of clean party goers like myself whom are to be in attendance

Basically, this event WILL be awesome, if its not your thing thats totally sweet to, but it is definatley different from what I have been to in the past,so im keen to taste it - get a valid opinion.

hehe - I know mate, just teasing really...will be a total spectacle like fuck all else the likes of us has experienced...I'm just not super keen personally. There's going to be better things on offer, musically, for my tastes, and it's a lot of coin to end up at an event were you just really ain't all that into it because of the music.

yeah for sure, lots of coin indeed! Saving hard atm, which is poo cos that means i miss out on things like the phat taster tomorrow night and other things, but yeah its probably a rarity, being able to go to such a spectical of an event, so yeh

Was keen to go to this coz I thought it was trance. But not really keen on seeing Feede le Grand play again. saw him at MOS and he was total zzzzzzzzzzzz factor.

See what other announcements come out. But I heard Underworld is playing at Summerfieldayz so may have to save myself for that one!

Ive been watching Videos from Sen Amsterdam and it looks AMAZING! Still keen to go but just waiting for more line up details.

Feede le Grand plays at all sensations does he not? ? I've never seen him play myself

Yeah all of the vids look immensly awesome, they have videos on their site sensation.com also, I checked out the deluxe ticket holder video on there and it looks real awesome! I'm going to spoil myself in that place

Summerdayz looks mean to, hopefully Lukas and I will be able to cope with both his bro has some friends who are going to Sensation i think, so it will be awesome to see familar faces

Fredde isn't too bad really, he's better than the track which made him famous, it's just this track made his name mud to those who love techno, and those who love him for that track, end up disappointed as he often doesn't play gashy eletro stuff anymore, plays more tech-house/techno and even minimal. Those who love that music, don't take him seriously!

Yes, Underworld, Summerdayzes is more me, have loved them since forever, and never seen them...not that Summerdayze is really my thing either! Hard to please, eh?

Going to buy tickets for SD, then hope Underworld do a stand alone show and scalp the SD tickets! hehe

There's all kind of rumours here though, talk about SD being pushed back because of Sensation! No one who knows is admitting anything yet though!

hehehe - I know, I know...Summerdayze isn't really my thing as it (generally speaking) attracts a total trashbag, wasted, buffed up wog-boy staunch "muzza" crowd.
Festivals are only fun if you've got a good crew imo, and I don't think many peeps want to go to this either.
Oh, and I don't really reckon you get the best quality sets from DJs are festivals, compared to seeing them in an intimate club environment. They never get the length sets they deserve either.

Digweed at Future Music = 1 hour 45mins, way more anthemic than usual VS seeing him at Q-Bar (400 peeps, max) as the Chemical Brothers afterparty, 4 hour set, deep, dark, dirty, driving nastyness...last hour was intense, and had thinned out to a hard core 100 or so people all 100% in the zone.

I might just save myself for the Amsterdam one if I dont go to this one as Ill be over that way in a year and a bit. I read that Sensation has a 5 year deal with the Telstradome so thats good news!

Sensation will blow you away, the big gigs here are amazing! So far Armim Only was the best night of my life! Absolutely out of this world! Cant wait to go to Armin Only again but in Amsterdam.

I went to Creamfields in Liverpool 2002 and on the main stage I saw: Faithless, Kosheen and Underworld....they were all amazing!!!! Also saw Cassius, Erick Morillo, Lotte, Xpress 2, PVD, Fergie,

But this was the whole line up, never have time to see everyone which is pretty crap!!! Not bad for 40 quid....
