Hey, just a thought...have you ever thought about getting your ears syringed? I've had it done it a few times. Your GP can do it. Only takes a couple of minutes. It really clears the ear passage way and things sound much better. The exposure to loud sound pressure levels causes the ears to block up a bit...its kind of a natural defense mechanism. So maybe getting this done will help your perception of the technics.

I rate getting this done every few years if your in the dj bidness, also wear plugs at gigs after you get it done or you wont have any natural protection and can stuff your ears even more. The bennefits in stuff sounding better is emense.

Also rate the sennies hd-25, the only headphone you will ever need to buy. Music

DO NOT EVER GET YOUR EARS SYRINGED. EVER.

If you need to get your ears cleaned then go to an audiologist and have them vacuum/suction clean your ears. Syringing does more harm than good.

What harm does it do? Just curious, since I have had it done a few times. My GP never made me aware of any negative side effects.

Did you not have to sign a form acknowledging the risks and waiving any blame on the doctor/nurse should there be permanent damage? You should have.

Ask an audiologist for reasons why suction is much safer. One reason is that there is a slight (or high, depending on the experience of your GP/Nurse. But remember, they are only that and NOT audiologists. Ears should be handled by specialists.) chance the process could perforate your eardrum.

They never asked me to sign a form. Mind you, the last time I had it done was a few years ago, so perhaps the procedure has changed. Maybe there is more awareness of the risk now. Guess I'm lucky the GP knew what he was doing.

i have a pair of HD 25-1s - they are ok.

i liked my old Sony MDR-V700DJs better.
but i like something that sits over your ear more than on your ear. But they are huuuuge.

Yea agrred, the seinheiser's are mint headphones. D'ont but the hd-sp versions though, the cord's from the earpieace's after a lot of use strat to twist together and it's a very frustraiting and annoying problem - hence why the new model, the HD 25-1 II has eliminated this problem by tailoring the cord to one side and locking it in place, the capsule design is much better as well, and eliminates background noise much more effectively.
