I bet this stems from the inncorrect assumption of 'he has Serato, that means he will play my request'

I fucking hate this. I'm usually pretty good at playing requests, even if it does mean playing Iron Fist or Zulu when someone asks for Chase & Status. But if I'm playing Instra:Mental type tunes and someone asks for Another Planet they're going to be kindly told to go fuck themselves.

Most punters aren't even that clued up, are they? It's more a case of 'I'm boozed, and I wanna hear my favourite tune.'


At the end of the day though, it's important not to forget that the reason the DJ is there is to entertain the crowd and keep the dancefloor rocking, obnoxious punters notwithstanding
