Security/Police searching us innocents

Aaarg! What's this I hear about cops demanding people empty their pockets at Nice N Urlich?!? Not good, some nights my pockets resemble a pharmacy. Is this going to happen more and more? Should we worry? I s'pose it had to creep in sooner or later, it's par for the course in the UK. Think I'll start stashing things in my undies, just to be on the safe side. How intense is a search permitted to be under the lovely 'Misuse of Drugs Act'?.

they can't do it unless they use the 'misuse of drugs act' as far as i'm aware, they can't just search you for no reason, if they say show us what's in your pockets say no.

Frank, you might want to stash your things in your socks rather than your undies (things might get a little smelly/sweaty down there)!! Even better you can now buy some pants or socks that have a secret pocket in them.

A police officer found a lot of gear in my car a while ago. Only class C material material luckily. But I got off it all with no convictions because the police officer illegally searched my car. He got in trouble for it too. Haha!

Ask for ure rights to be read, if they refuse they have just broken the law themselves, if that doesn't work, threaten to call your lawyer for unlawfully being searched. But one of the best things to do is just be calm, try not to get intimedated and speak politely rather than being threatened.

Yep, they have to invoke the misuse of drugs act, and they have to have reason to suspect you have drugs on you to search. They cannot arrest you for being under the influence of drugs either, but they can detain you if you are a danger to yourself or others.

Ask them to quote the act of which they believe you are breaking, blah, blah, It gets me angry when I read how they misuse their positions as police officers, no wonder they fight for respect!!!

I've got some boxers with a side pocket pouch on them, perfect place. Another good place is in back of ciggie packs between the foil and the packet, gotta becareful not to chuck the pack when you run out though

Have you guys seen those shoes you can get with an invisible zip around the tonge. Just looks like a normal shoe but you can unzip it and put whatever in there. Thought that was quite an irrisponsible idea on the part of the manufacturer. Good onya guys

you can get hats with secret hidey spots, and i've got some rip curl cargos with a hidden pocket on the inside of the leg and it closes with velcro (they're boys pants but i like em!)

the cops were wandering through at some stage - i was following the buggers. they spoke to couple of people at the bar and checked one guys bag/man purse... after that i kept my distance! =]

umm guys it proberly is not a good idea to go publically displaying all your various hiding places.
Although the cops don't have the power to search us at will there are many ways they can side step the rules. Looking like you are under the influence is sufficant for them to invoke the M.D.A So just be careful kids

Hell, most of the clubs you go to in Perth (especially the all ages gigs) you will be frisked by the bouncers at the door.

in oz .. they carry knives and guns .. thats why they search you and send you throught the metal detector..... well this happens in sydney at the top clubs when i was there a few months ago.

Dome in Melbourne has a metal detector as well.

Yeah man, I was at the Dome in Melbourne last week, got frisked and had to go through a metal detector. Some very dodgy peeps in there. They've had stabbing etc.

Did however catch old Sample Gee rocking the club at 9-11am. Best set I heard there, he blew the other DJ's away. The dance floor was starting to thin out and people were winding down, untill he came on. He had the place rocking withing 15-20mins. The man is class. He will do well in Aussie.

Cops in this country are getting dodger... We were at Fu and some ugly skank ho fat ass bitch stole $5 out of my friends wallet. Well we saw her going through the wallet and when my mate checked it the cash was gone. Anyways, in an act of karma her bag got stolen and was dumped on Queen Street by god knows who. We were leaving, walking up Queen St when we noticed a hand bag under a seat, we ignored it. Then the bitch came up behind us and accused us of stealing her bag, we pointed to the bag under the seat and it turned out to be her bag. Next thing she starts screaming at us to give us back her wallet. So much so she attracts the cops, to make a long story short the cops don't believe a word we say and my mate gets wrongly arrested for theft, despite the fact he is the one that bitch stole off. In reality, the innocent little white girl had to be telling the truth, and my mate is Tongan so of course he did it. The cop bitch had made up her mind before we'd even got to tell out side. Fuck cops in this place, no wonder they've got such a bad rap, they fucking dserve it.

i often make my outfits for big dance parties and i always leave a seem in my clothes undone so that i can hide things in there. works like a charm honestly. i like to be extra cautious just incase. cause u never know, one day cops may just decide to frisk ppl at the door of dance parties. and if ur not expecting it, ur in a bit of shit!

also in aussie they have sniffer dogs. melbourne isnt that bad u know. it's just like auckland if u ask me, just a lil bigger (ok a hell of a lot bigger)

worst run in with the pigs was outside kiss....i pulled a guy who was convulsing out of kiss and tried to help him out and resusitate the poor dude...when out of nowhere some pig grabs my collar and throws me against that bank window, yelling at me "whats he taken? whats he taken?"
"fuck i dunno" i said. "I dont even know this guy im just tryin to help him" then to top it of they told me to piss off while they searched him....FOR FUCKS SAKE MAN this guy is having an overdose on the footpath and the pigs are only interested in what hes been taking...i told them to call the ambulance and search him later at the hospital but they tried to arrest me for getting in the way...now what the fuck is a person supposed to do. Lucky i grabbed his badge number, him and his partner got in deep shit...well thats what the senior srgnt told me 2 weeks after my complaint. NZ COPPAZ i wouldnt piss on ur gums if ur teeth were on fire.

well I`m planning on dropping just before I get in there,but hey each to their own,as for the pigs,I know they do the public protection but I`v fallen victim to their ways and Auck pigs aren`t the nicest bunch around,nice of them to throw me in the mud then stand right next to my face,straight after a concert but as they say,serve and protect,yeah right,the fuckers`d arrest their own parents if need be,it`s part of their oath...
