Sebastian Wild - Redefined 08 (4 mixes!) - Electro / Trance!

Well it’s been about a year since the last Redefined. I thought it was about time for a rehash! Disorder’s still dead, his corpse is starting to rot somewhat and I’ve taken the liberty of selling his turntables. Last year’s Redefined proved extremely successful and really encouraged my musical growth. This time round I present Redefined with not one, not two, not three but two and a bit and a bit mixes for you listening pleasure.

2007 saw me greatly diversify and mature my sound in two directions. Slowly finding my feet in the wonderful world of trance, I’ve found myself literally immersed in it. Playing absolutely every sub-genre possible, it has given me an extreme amount of versatility to play virtually any set time. Trance CD2 has taken influence from many artists, namely Eddie Halliwell, Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn and Paul van Dyk, all of whom I’ve now seen in the past few years! Starting progressive, it slowly moves through uplifting trance into a slightly techier sound, then back on up for a banging finish.

House and Electro, the second direction has opened doors to a whole new variety of events for me. In December I played after Sneaky Sound System in Christchurch, which was an event that I wouldn’t have imagined myself having the tunes for 12 months ago. The beginning of January saw me visit Auckland once again, this time for Summerdayz, specifically for inspiration in these genres from the likes of David Guetta, Dave Spoon, Steve Angelo and Sebastian Ingrosso. Fast forward nearly two months and here we are, my first real house and electro mix with lashings of influence from the Christchurch breaks scene.

Both CDs were recorded on a Pioneer DJM800, 3 Pioneer CDJs and a Pioneer EFX1000.
