how well did u all do at school? how many ppl went all the way to 7th form??.........

I made it to 7th form, then did four years at Akl Uni.

Me... infact.. I went on to Uni after that..

i got half way thru 6th form and got bored and buggered off to tech. I did ok at school tho

i did 6th form, hated school got a job never looked back...

My principal hated me and my friends in 7th form cause we attended when we felt like, turned up wasted half the time, generally acted like louts, and then caned all the lamer geeks when it came to exams and shit.. hahaha.

Stuff like that really gets the establishment worked up, they don\'t like living proof that drugs are not bad being flouted in the faces of the impressionable... mkay..

I had to work at it though. I did about a month of 7th form then I needed a change so I flagged school and went to tech.

... even worse was when I was in 6th for I was pretty much the same.. however, I skipped some 6th form subjects and did a couple Bursary subjects and still caned the lamer geeks that were a year ahead of me... the shameful side was I still had to wear uniform whilst the rest were in mufti..

A Bursary, school dux, sportsperson of the year, 3 scholarships, Master\'s degree etc.

Uni was fully wicked as i also had time to deejay and put on events. Loads of uni exams are classic - you can bull shit your way though them by knowing the basics and spinning crap.

i got meningitis in 6th form, so with internal assessment i was pretty screwed for grades after being away sick for quite a while, and the school i was at did this weird thing where some subjects that were 2 in 6th form became 1 in 7th so i did\'nt have enough subjects to do, parents did\'nt think it was worth while to waste a year on history and home ec either....haha

Also - dont get a student loan if you can help it. Its pretty easy to blow cash when you are at uni. Mine went on skateboards, drink and parties / clubbing.

Was probably the best time of my life. But ive got a nice lump sum to pay off now though.

Ahhh.. Uni days.. good memories... Norml Clubrooms for a start, The drinking clubs day in the Quad, Crackem with Bomber, Allpress Coffee, Protest marches, Shadows and Pub crawls.. Those pubcrawls... sigh...

Failed about 2/3 of the exams I\'ve ever sat. Quite sad, really.

Went through school, then 3 years at Uni. School sucked as it was single sex, but Uni was 3 wicked years! Somewhere in-between the drinking and cavorting (I hadn\'t discovered pills then) I found time to study, but I still don\'t know how.

My best was... 1st in Religious studies in 3rd form... kicked out of the class and asked not to return by 6th form

7th form, and even then I dont think I was ready for the real world. Messed around in a big way at school, so only just passed. It doesnt matter anymore, but I wish I could do things differently now.

Damien, school grades are very important. The A grades I pulled throughout school have given me many wonderful opportunities. I am now a very successful business woman. I invented Post-its.

Stayed the whole way through 7th form but gave it a half assed effort because I knew I had a job beginning the next year.. so I failed now im working full time and goin to AUT at night time.

Got 7th form and scholarship in english. 3 year degree @ Aut and am now back doing studenty stuff with a student website. it\'s a life i don\'t want to leave behind!!

Unless you are wanting to do post graduate research grades really do not matter, they are more of a personal measure. Employers have never asked to see my grades, only universities when aplying for further study.(Probably due to my spelling :/

Got a B Bursary at 7th form and have been a lazy worker ever since basically - after school mum forced me to go to Auckland Uni one year (failed all the papers as never went) and then started a Bachlor of Social Work at Unitech and passed everything the firts year but it was too hectic doing that and working full time

Still there, buming around as don't know if I want to continue as I find advertising toooo boring, really want to become a Personal Trainer of some sort as love the gym and am really interested in how the body works, motivation etc.

I finished 7th form, and failed bursary by two marks. I had an average of a day and a half off every week though, so i dont think i did too badly

Well, I do miss being able to sleep in every single morning (one semester my earliest lecture was 3pm!) and the parties every night of the week, but that had to end one day! There is only so much fun you can have with no money! Now with the help of money I compress 7 nights of fun into 2 nights of fun!

7th form - 4 years of uni.

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought with loans now you couldn't really get out lump sums especially if you get a living away from home allowance. Can only pay for fees and books?

When I was at uni it was basically a free for all. You could get your entire year loan out at once. They changed that pretty quickly!
