if its a once off theres probably a company about that would do it for you for less hassle than buying it.

Yeah, it'd only be a once off. I'm not that smart with stuff like this anyway so just want to pay someone to do it.

I got a little usb thingie that plugs in to my puter, and rca's to go in to the back of the video player.
Easy as fuck, it just takes a while to convert.
Got it from Jaycar for under a hundy. No cards or opening up my pc.

I have a similar device myself, but even better, as it's Firewire instead of USB and presents itself as pure DV video to the OS, so no drivers needed at all, even on XP. So sick.

Well excuuuuuuuuse me, Mr fancy pants with ya firewires and stuff...
I was going to suggest taking a photo of each frame, getting them developed, and putting them together in a flip book. You just have to add your own speech and sound fx as you flip through.

However if its saved in DVD / MPEG4 format you should be able to rip it to a DIVX format pretty easy...

Yeah, just google "total video converter. It's what I use, nice and quick, and heaps of format options (inc psp)
