RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE 2008 - FRI 29 AUG - SANDWICHES

Rumble in the Jungle 2008 is into its next exciting stage, with the regional entrants now confirmed.

With such an awesome array of prizes up for grabs, over 60 DJs answered the call for the competition. These entries have now been cut down to 40 DJs, covering the four regional events across the country.

The regional events are series of three knockout rounds. In the first round, 10 DJs compete in the first stage, who are then knocked down to 4, and finally the final two compete to claim the title of regional champion. The top two DJs from each regional are then confirmed in the grand final, to be held in Wellington on the 4th of October.

The rounds are short and the pressure is high, and the sets will be exhilarating and tight, as the hours of practice get thrown down in all out audio warfare.

RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE 2008 Wellington Heat

The 2008 Rumble in the Jungle Wellington heat is finally here with some of the cities finest upcoming drum and bass talent set to battle it out at Sandwiches tomorrow night for entry into the national final in October.

The competition starts promptly at 11 so please arrive early to give your support to all the contestants.

1st round sets are scheduled as follows:

The night is scheduled to run as follows:

• 11pm – 1.30am - The 12 minute rounds for all contestants takes place
• -- 15 min break for judging --
• 1.45am – 2.50am - The 15 minute rounds for the top 4 from round one takes place
• -- 15 min break for judging --
• 3.05am – 3.45pm - The final 2 DJs battle it out. (4 x 10 min sets, 2 each)
• -- 5 min break for judging --
• 3.50 - Announce winners & Prize giving
