Rugby?Cricket/Netball in N.Z

Whats everyones feelings? ...Personally I feel like we are never gonna get back up there like we used to be - The whole atmosphere has changed.
Why is this?
Top managements or the teams or what?

Everything works in cycles. With the amount countries like Australia are putting into their sports accadamies it is going to be very hard to keep up unless we do something about it.

Rugby going professional has changed forever NZ's status ion the game. Other countries with more resources (particularly england) are going to do better now.

Yes Australias the place to be if you want the best.... Sports wise!

When were we ever good in cricket??
As for rugby, we were world leaders, but now most of the other countries have adopted our style, hence are now more competitve. I guess who ever adapts well will continue to dominant the world scene *cough* Australia *cough*

i think nz has got some real good 'people' resources eg... all the polynesian/maori that are 'built' for the game, and we have a lot of history which should help, i hope!

INNOVATE is the word D-Man, that will help the next team get abv the rest... just like we did...

the blacks are ok in patchs but hey they are rebuilding for the world cup. aussie has left it to late i feel.

and as for the AB's are the Number not aussie


and we have also showen that our basketball is also getting stronger which is great.

its weird down here in queenstown the local highschool has 7 ice hockey teams and only one rubgy team.

its good to see places like this getting strong in differnt sports. the candian Moose ice hockey is due to tour here soon should be great watch the ice blacks on my rink that i prepared for them

I dnt know much about those three sports but if it was about soccer.. I could say that NZ is not the right country for this sport.. there r some good players.. but defenately not in the Kings.. So I dnt think they will go far..
Netball I dnt follow it.. and criket I personally think that they r just slacking off..

I think NZ should Introduce itself to Football (Soccer), I mean seriously..

I think that the main problem is to do with funds..
NZ wont use their funds for soccer but for Rugby (international sport) and criket and netball..
I sort of understand coz in Italy the government pays only for soccer.. coz that's what we r good at.. but still.. NZ is a small country the more sport u have the more turism it'll bring..
