remember "The Gate" raves?

These 3 parties are still up there with the best dance parties I've eva been too. Others agree?

1 in shed 21 was brilliant! The first time i saw a laser at a dance party, and it blew my mind.

2 in Shed 11/12 was great too...I still remember Mechanism and ICU blowing the place apart live...

3 was a big disappointment I thought, especially after that silly "goto map-point a to find location" and then it just turned out to be the Metro!.

Went to one in 95 which took place in two of the sheds on the waterfront, but not sure if it was one of the Gate Raves you guys are talking about. Had a great time but to be honest, I dont think I knew what I was doing there!!! Seem to remeber a time zone theme, would this be right? Just been thinking though, they can't have been R18 back then!!!

That would have been The Gate II.

And no, none of the dance parties were R18 (20) back then - the venues were all warehouses pretty much, and had no bars - and because the scene was pretty underground compared with today there wasn't too much of a problem with younger people coming along...(except for people like me )

Yeah, went to one of The Gates when I was young and tender Think it might have been The Gate II but I don't recall. Can't really remember what the music was like, but I had a wicked time...
