Recording Streaming music

Whats the best way to do this?

By running a 3.5mm - 3.5mm stereo jack from the speaker output to the mic input??

Or is there software that allows you to record it straight onto the harddrive without the jack plug?

Isnt it a bit naughty to copy streaming music??

What sort of streaming music? There's software for recording realaudio streams ...I forget the names. I have it at home. Will have a look tonight if I remeber.

I found some software about a year back that did it really well.. I have the install saved on my HDD somewhere, but I have no idea where.. i'll try find it

Program is called MP3 Stream Recorder ...

File is Mp3Rec22.zip containing Mp3Rec22.exe setup file... No idea where I got it, but if you cant find it, I can can send it to you.. its about 1.11 Mb

Take a look at the linked article, the current thinking is that it's not illegal to record streams. Even if it is, they can't tell if you're listening or recording anyway.
