Record Stores In Melbourne?

Average, average store that one imo.

Capital DJ on High St in Prahran is way better imo...stacks and stacks of $5 choons too...

There used to a store in Melbourne named aptly enough Metal For Melbourne, it seems thoughitno longer exists as I can't find it any hwre on the net. I used order all sorts of cool shit from there, signed stuff, picture discs, Slayer Bloodpacks all sorts.

Yeah, there's probably a few metal type record stores, seen one in St Kilda but no idea of its name...not idea about other ones either!

Surprising they haven't announced anything about Tool...be strange of them not to do a seperate gig in Aucks and either Chch or Wellys at least.

But anyway, there is a really good place in ackland st, st kilda that sells rock/metal etc type of stuff. they have heaps of cool posters and memrobilia in store. its upstairs but i forget the name, will find out next time i go past.

Records are too exspensive to buy new in melbourne i reckon, unless you buy second hand etc.

We arrive Feb the 2nd and fly out Feb 11th, there for Wiatangi day and two weekends so hopefully there will be something on around that time to go too, who knows maybe even a concert if we're lucky.

Re record stores, the one in Acland St would be right up your alley, we can point you in the right direction when you get here if you like, its not too far from where we live. I'm still buying my stuff online, although in my last order from Juno 6 out of the 8 tunes were slightly warped (nothing serious though) and the sleeves were quite dog eared. I've been too lazy to actually hunt out the record shops over here, think I'll have to get off my ass and do a mission soon.

Decks and what not are good, it's the selection I thought was what let them down...not enough compared to other stores in that area.
