Recommentdations for Auto Electrician Central Auck or West

Hey- I'm looking at getting a car alarm installed and was wondering what my bottom line in terms of features and price should be? Also looking for a good auto electrician. Any thoughts? Cheers.

Depends on your car exactly, i would say something worth more than 8000 and could be viewed as a bit of a target, you want a 5 star alarm, the seem to be around $700+ installed, be wary of trademe installers, had a bad experience.

Auto electricians i use are Western Auto Electrical in Moselle Ave Henderson, quality work, not cheap but you get it done right

I have an audio and alarm company with 3 installers. We fit the Dynatron product which meets all insurance companies standards. We have done all alarms at Winger Subaru in Greenlane for the past 6 years and have minimal problems.
Price depends on what make and model your car is and what alarm spec you are after. Generally something resonable can be done from the $350-$500 mark.

Wicked thanks for the tips - saw the thread on this forum on the alarms on trade me and thought I'd be better off getting a pro to do it. Is it poss to upgrade existing alarms as well - ie drop an immobiliser in ?

Yes that can be done. We do a few of those to older alarms that dont meet the standards. In that situation we do a Dynatron D2200 which has 2 kills for around $220 fitted depending on the car make model and year.
