adblock plus and no script... seems to work for me.

I found this addon on Firefox site before I saw your post, called Foof. See how it goes.

Never ever ever even heard of Foof. Everyone else on the planet uses AdBlock Plus. I haven't seen an ad in years.

Don't bother with Noscript myself.
