Rare Car Bits

Any one knw any good places/wreckers to try for oldish car parts in Auck, or anywhere in that case, am looking front gurads for a Mitsubishi - Galant Colt 1973 Coupe.

Jeezus, in all honesty your best bet is to get the yellow pages and call every wrecker, if they say no ask who you could try and do it that way. They will probably be available in Japan but at a cost so high u'll soil urself hearing the price..

keep your eye on the t & e
you should be able to find stuff in there
i know when i was looking for parts for my gto, which are even harder to get parts for, the t & e was always the best bet.

oh and incidentally, the doors are the same as the gto doors. i think i got a couple spare if you need any.

Dude best thing to do is ask the wrecker if they are hooked up to the "Parts Link" or Capricorn system. It emails all Wreckers in NZ and they choose weather to respond or not.
I could do it for ya but Im based down in Wellington

wow i wouldnt know where to start for a 73

yeah wouldnt worry that much but really want the car to look good as its my first little rotary project, cheers for the advice, best be ringing all the wreckers in town.

what state are the front guards you have, in? repairable at all? A mate of mine is fully resto'ing and doing up an old RX4, hes having the same issues as you, its a mission to find old parts but the guy is a panel beater and is repairing what he can't replace himself, the bonnet was fucked (had the unfortunate experience of a flywheel hitting it at some point) and it looks mint now. So if you dont have any luck you could consider getting them repaired/made straight, nothing a bit of new-tech and bog wont fix

yeah tru that, theres a bit of rest where da old skool side mirrors were and there is a dent in one of them, yeah I suppose they might be fixable, will c how i go
