R16

How much support would there be for an R16 Club Night at Klub2k. ie. K Rd style night and only for those 16 and over.

Heaps of you guys always winge like hell when you go to an underage event and see a 13 or 14 year old girl, but if you go to an R18 gig and see a 35 year old guy, you don't give a shit. The reality of the all ages scene is that it is exactly that "ALL AGES".

But anyway, we're keen to do an R16 gig to keep you all happy and start a wicked night, but will you support it??? OR, will you all sit around whinging about something you've never actually seen or experienced because you apparently heard it from somewhere.

Will the true R16 Clubbers please stand up!!

R16 Club nites on a Friday would kick off a wicked weekend. I'd be keen to play out all the unplayed Rave anthems, Trance, Hardhouse vinyl I have sitting in my room and I'm sure the other DJ's Adam Bomb, Haze, Scoobe, Kam, 12 Inch are itching to play out to the up for it North Shore raving massive. It would be cool to emulate the same vibe and intimate clubbing atmosphere that Icon/Platinum once produced.

i dont really mind that much.i dont relaly care about 13 yr olds.. and when i go i alwyas see people like about 15 at the youngest. or maybe they are 13 year olds that look 15. I would go to an r16 event. But i think that theere might not be enough epopole who are interested in it. the all ages scene is small enough as it is. why bother making it smaller and cutting it in half. Its worth a go tho. because some people eg. miss cheerry are one of those people who winge about 13 year olds. So if you had an r16 event. then people might be happy. and be more inclined to go. because they know there wont be little kids running around.

I think it's a good idea, and to be honest I don't think an 'older' looking 14 yr old would be denied entry. It's all about raising the standard, 'prepping' teens for their clubbing onslaught when they hit 18. I'd love a Friday thing to happen again, would be great to get a group of regulars coming along and providing an outlet for some young up and coming talent to have a spin too.

I like the way you've got K2K set up now too, way better, more intimate and 3 free pool tables!! Sound system is um well....pretty damn phat! Love that ILS shit!

i think i'm too old to go to an all ages club but im not to old to go to an event (like the brain)

if someone gets annoyed and pissed off with all these bopper girls and hoodie boys, then they shouldnt go to the underage things. But theres no use in condeming it, there are sum genuine ravers out there who are under 16, let them have their fun!

Nup they should wait. It would just be asking for trouble. Earlier start to drugged and drunk teenagers and so on. Sorry peoples With age comes responsibility.

13 is the age where everything is 'experimental' but yeah let them have their fun! Not all 13yr olds get drugged or start getting drunk at 13 do they?

Well, here's the deal. Like they say, everything is worth a try. SO......

Kicking off the Friday after the Brain will be an OLDSKOOL HAPPY HARDCORE RAVE featuring all the classics - Shooting Star, Children of the NIght etc.
Then the following Friday we will continue with an R16 Clubbing Night bringing you some of Aucklands Best DJs each week.
