Quick iPhone question..

Thanks to an awesome poker win this week, gunna buy me an iPhone this week finally

So.. Please to be telling me best way/place to buy? What's the difference between parallel importer type places and buying from vodafone or whatever?
If I buy from PI, does everything work straight out of the box still? Do I have to go on a special plan and what not?

Though i have always avoided contracts i bought with the sign up discount through vodafone for two reasons - the plans were cheaper than what i was paying/getting with the calling/data add on and the discount made it half the price of anything else i would have considered as a phone.

That and i wont go near PI for anything that is liable to break/need servicing.

I presume you arent going with telecom?

Pretty much all non-technical people I know have found it easier to go with an official reseller FWIW.

Yeah the best thing about most iphone plans, is that the break-out fee is no more than the money you save on the plan, and the plans are pretty well suited. The thing WILL use 250MB of data a month so make sure its included.

I could go into a "then you want to move it over to XT" argument because its AWESOME and you don't live south of Taupo haha!

Definitely not going with Telecom But hmm maybe going official does sound like the way to go...
