Look up behavioural psychology if you want to learn the right way to train your dog :>

Positive reinforcement is a better motivator than smacking.

Don't ever rub a dogs nose in it, they don't have the same memory we do, therefore your dog will just think you are a sadistic human who likes to rub shit in it's face.

I'd definitely recommend going to a puppy school of some sort, these are usually pretty cheap and will teach your young dog social skills. These are incredibly important to learn at a young age otherwise your dog could develop a fear response to other dog (which usually results in them attacking other dogs, I know through personal experience as we adopted our current dog that was a year old that had been neglected and it's an incredibly hard thing to train out of a dog.)

The amount of effort you put into training your dog is the amount of reward that you will get out of it :>

Wtf is that
[quote]
It's a collar that vibrates. He uses them on dogs that bite people to snap them out of their state before they go red zone and mental. It's a correction device.

He did an episode on how to raise the perfect pup which was awesome and you should try to watch it.
[quote]
Wait i've never seen him use a prong collar - just a vibrating one.

haha yeah I just got a new rug for the lounge one of those shaggy ones which I'm going to have to put away .. it's too much like grass and I don't want her wizzing all over it...

Though she might be the perfect puppy who will just wee on her piddle pads in the laundry..

[quote]
Booked puppy school yet?

If not -> do it now. They can be hard to get into, and you don't want a shit one.

He also uses choking and shock collars.

He is pretty much a bad, old school trainer.

Yep I was just look at it today, but it says Puppy classes don’t start until the pup is 12 weeks..she’s only 6 and a half weeks. I will definitely book her in with that Flip place.. I want her to have clicker training and he seems to be the best out there. I will get a place I’m sure of it, who could say no to me and my cute puppy hehe ?

I’ve been hardcore reading about puppy training and I don’t have a crate thing so I’m going to have to think of an alternative until my bank balance bounces back a bit.. hrmm lol.

I've been watching heaps of his shows recently and not once seen him use anything more than a vibrating collar. Real bad dogs he takes to his pack for them to sort out.
[quote]
I love how he has his own pack of dogs.. they're all awesome dogs.
