As much as I loved losing the plot trying to create new dance moves at the Meteor and Corso etc....on The real Fat Freddys cat.

These days dance music is so much different esp with the drugs of choice avalible, when that shit was all the rave' L.S.D was the drug of choice, now the drugs of choice are speed and even E' takes a backseat to P.
The clubscene is different still with "ravers" being Mad drunk is not the best state of mind to enjoy Psychedelic trance techno.(why arent the police policing P?)(they hated on every other drug!!)

I say leave it for the Outdoor partys.

Or lets buy a few sheets of Acid and rent out an abandoned warehouse...and sell tickets for $30 with a free trip.

I like the odd bit here and there...

I think it's far more interesting than Hard House.

If you love that style of electronica then start something up yourself. You can build and nurture it back in Hamilton again.

Might be a mish to start, but hey we managed it again with Drum N Bass?

thanks for the replies guys much appreciation but i think that there is a market in psy-trance look what happened with d&b it came from nowhere in this town and is still going strong
psy has changed dramatically over the past 6-7 years and i reckon holds more appeal and interest than it ever has
yes you are corect the drunk factor is never good and also the p factor but you dont need drugs to enjoy good music am i not wrong ?
as for starting my own thing up yes that is in the pipeline thats why i contacted you highspeed i know plenty of djs from sydney/newcastle that would come over here and play also groups like full-om and cyberculture might be the go i reclkon it would be beneficial to catalyst and h-town auckland, welllington have a good thriving psy scene why not h-town cant let them show us up can we ? Mr. Green
hhhhhmmm maybe we should meet highspeed drop in tune out to some decent psy ehhh......

one night I had a bad one and the whole place just scared me...

now I hate all psy-trance..... and hippies.

dirty lil' -crazy look in the eye- weird dancin freaks!

*sits in the corner of the shower in fetal position: think of a happy place think of a happy place*

and it totally don't go with DnB

HAving said that you never know tho, I mean, no doubt there is a ex-Normanby crowd...

i here ya twincam but still have to say that i know a lot of djs especially d&b djs who first got a inkling of the real dance scene through psy at the corsa, meteor, exstatic dance parties as for your bad trip like i said you dont need drugs to have a good time and yes i know plenty of psy-trancers that dont need drugs and not all of them are hippies to say that they all look funny is pretty funny but sorta un-fair dont you think
have been to plenty of parties where these two genres have blended excellently and everyone has had an awesome time they both have an established underground hard feel that everyone seems to be searching for these days ......

Bring it on Back.......Im fuken down...

Whos putting out the best in psy trance these days?

Is it still RHINO?

My main point with the D&B thing was look at Concord Dawn,Is there a psychedelic duo,out there?(in NZ making waves?)
Is there an Andy C or Ram Raiders happening anwhere in the world?
That all helped the Htown D&B scene.

You could be right about the support tho.....to long have I seen people frying thier brains off as fast as they can,or licking thier lips and hugging strangers........

they call it ACIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED........

The colours,the sounds...... Razz

'You can see the music'....

Rival do yo remember that party with the Blacklights and I thought I had an Alien Implant Very Happy .......I do.

Bring it back.
Even though you dont need drugs right?....you do need patience and to be well balanced,to understand the journey....

Free your mind.

and the journey begins ...... sweet i will contact the peeeps who might be interested in such a program of such sweet praportiions and get back to you HSD then we can sort something out , coool ??

Lol @ Laff...

Yer I member.. I got an alien implant 2!!! In my hand man. It looks like the Orion Star Symbol

Shit

Anyway.. I recond punters in H-Town need education.. Still heaps of peeps in that town who don't know the difference between any of the electronicas.. And classify it all as Techno.. lol

I reckon you should start up a Night called Spectrum. And have lots of dif types of electronica DJ's spinning the styles.. Go from Techno to House to Breaks to Drum N Bass and then to Psy Trance etc...

You would get all these different people that might normaly go one type of electronica getting to see something different. Yer maybe it's a bit crazy.. But you never know.. a night like that could build a cool rep and pull a buzzing contrast of people together. Educating em at the same time init.

fully bra fully !!!!
for to long h-town has just moved from one to the other and not paid to much attention to what they are listening to it sound like a good idea bro i reckon it could work if everyone is prepared to make it work have different genres playing on different nights and so forth even promote the different genres through the likes of outdoor/wharehouse parties using the residents of clubs and locals willing to give it a shot even going to the length to put in and grab djs from outer town and far beyond like sydney for instance would help raise awareness of the other genres and the respective leaders of the pack also gives us clout with overseas acts as well .......
